As for speaking with the manager based on the length of time and the number of files reported if there is anyone believes speaking to the manager would do any good then there is rec center in bonifay that I can sell you

there is a real problem there and i wonder if it has anything to do with that smelly monstrosity they are trying to cover over with foilage etc.
Rubicon, what is the smelly monstrosity covered with foliage to which you refer?

Thanks....

Asked the bar tender about it a few months ago and he said it was due to the dirt being turned over in recent months. They installed fans to help. Fly strips are not an option due to health regs. I would think that sprays of some kind could be used at night to discourage pests.

Default Smelly

The thing their talking about is the tank just behind the pro shop on the big hill. As for the flies they've put traps on the trees behind the bar. Fly tape can't be used for health reasons. As far as spraying during the day I don't think that would be exceptable either. I do belive they're spraying at night after closing. we were there Friday evening and the flies weren't that bad and the ice teas were very good.

Ugh, personally I don't want to look at a bunch of dead flies stuck to a glue strip while I'm eating. We have been eating there about once a week but was really disappointed with a "daily special" last Thursday. It was probably my fault. Their crab cakes on the regular menu says "lump crab meat" so I just assumed the special crab cake sandwich would also be lump. It was not! It was so bad I began to think it might be made of canned crab or even a salmon patty! We were on our way to Orlando airport and in a bit of a hurry so I just ate a couple of bites and let it go. I won't be ordering crab cakes there again!

In case nobody has realized, it's fly season. Happens every year. Almost everywhere you go outside, there's flies. Some places get worse than others. It's just what happens when you eat in the great outdoors. LSL tends to get them worse probably because it's on the water. The establishments are not going to be able to get rid of them. Have an awesome day !!

Eating with a fly swatter would certainly send a message to the restaurant's management as well as to their other customers. Not sure that the restaurant would want you back though as a customer.

Bonny. You are right as usual. We had them on our open front porch last night as we tried to eat dessert. We have coffee and dessert out there all of the time and this is the first time we had flies.

I don't know why I hadn't thought of that. They are worse at certain times of the year and this is our first full year here in Lower Paradise.

Shoo! you ugly manure trotters.

In Michigan we had a couple of weeks in July when we were bombarded with fish flies ! They were awful, especially by the water. They would get so bad they were all over the roads. Your car would literally be sliding all over.
It's called "nature".
