Well, DUH! It's Men's Day! Doesn't management look at the schedule? Also, they picked that day to reseal the parking lot. As much as I want to support Villages operations, they don't even try to be competitive. We play there again tomorrow, but after the round off to Beef O Bradys!
I agree, Dick,,, the management of Havana (who I know very well), just doesn't have the business sense to run an efficient restaurant. Yes, they paved the parking lot in such a way that there were no parking spaces available for the evening entertainment. Also, the other day, their a/c unit wasn't functioning very well, the excuses were the key to the room where the repairman had to gain entry, is held by The Villages (?) and therefore it couldn't be fixed. Well, I happen to know that they have many floor fans available that were used when we used to dance outside. When I asked where the owner was, he wasn't available??? Why doesn't someone make a management decision to break out the floor fans and place them around the room so that we could get some breeze????? This is good management... duh!?!? This isn't an isolated case, it just goes on and on and he doesn't have a clue. The Villages really needs to step in and get this corrected. Its so sad, because its such a lovely CC with great decor and view. Could be the perfect spot.

Cool

I know everyone like to come on TOTV and "vent" or lodge complains about Havana.

Certainly, no amount of complaining here (TOTV) is going to have any impact on effecting changes at Havana.

So, my questions is this:

To whom, do we address legitimate concerns/complaints/praise for any TV owned establishment?

If enough of us complain to the proper TV Department, with some valid examples of poor service, perhaps changes will be forthcoming...

The people who run Havana RENT from the developer. I don't think a landlord can tell someone how to run a business unless it breaks the law or the lease. The owners of Havana don't seem to care that they are getting criticisms on here. Someone pointed out that even if it isn't great, they probably are still making money.

I still don't get all the criticism of Havana. My golf group of 40 people went to Havana yesterday after our scramble. We were treated well, and our food was good and they have an "all day happy hour".

There are some you can never please, is my opinion.

Gee I never thought working at McDonalds was a demeaning job, or being a server. The point of the thread I think is that Havana has at times had less than stellar reviews on food and service.

That would probably be the cause of the management.

I am an AMERICAN too and agree with Gracie that the thread is more about the management of Havana.

Thank you - it IS about the management and quality level of the various chefs they have had over the years,,, not about the servers. Actually, I am personal friends with quite a few of the servers and bartenders and they are not the fault of the problems. They are very accommodating, efficient and extremely helpful. I'm sorry you misunderstood the crux of this discussion.
