I TOTALLY agree. We were very disappointed in the quality, taste and price of the pizza we had. I'll stick with Stavro's. Flipper's is over rated and NOT worth the money.

Not sure how reliable this Flippers' employee was, but he told me the other night it would be at least one year before Flippers opens in Brownwood.

Has anyone tried LaBella's Italian Piatto & Pizzeria, 3909 SE Lake Weir Ave, Ocala? There's got to be better pizza than Stavro's out there! Even Carrabbashas better pizza than Stavros--IMHO.

Of course if you try LaBella's you'd have to eat there because it would be cold by the time you reached home.

I can fully understand the reticence on the part of merchants to build in Brownwood because it has not drawn big crowds. However, there is very little to go there to see so it is a Catch 22.

That risk is the very reason that small business owners are underrated. They dare go where most would fear to tread.

Most places do use ingredients that come from a box, a bag or a can. Unless you have a small "mom and pop" establishment that advertise that they use all "fresh" items. I once worked in a restaurant so know that soups come in a bag, as does salad ingredients etc.

Well, the only negative about Flippers in Spanish Springs is about it being so crowded with customers. The folks in The Villages are smart enough to know a good product, with good pricing and great service. Hopefully, Flippers will not be so crowded when they finish opening up the projected five locations in The Villages.

Haven't you heard that EVERYTHING is better up north?.......water, pizza, bagels, seafood, stores, etc. I guess it's human nature to complain. These same people will go back up north and brag to family and friends about how much better Florida is, weather, taxes, utility bills, crime, roads, etc.

I talked to the owner and they do plan to expand but yes, it will be at least 1-2 years.

Lack of close residents hurts Brownwood right now---but they are building like "crazy" south of 466A. For those traveling south of 466A by golf cart.....first it's not a short ride...second there are only two tunnels and neither real convenient. The tunnel at Colony is getting more dangerous by the day---actually it's the crossing of colony blvd that is the problem. There should have been a tunnel there IMHO.

The only pizza I eat is a real Margherita pie and Flippers knows how to make it........Sauce, fresh mozzarella and basil on a thin crust......not raw sliced tomatoes.......tried it for the first time this week and we loved it!
