Yes, that was my intent, being a former Mgr. and having a former chef for a husband, I know that is why a lot of restuarants go out of business. Maybe they need to call Robert Irvine of "Restuarant Impossible" on The Food Network

Went there a week ago Friday around 5 to try their bangers. Sorry all gone and won't have any until the next day. Tried their "French dip" which was mostly bread with a little meat. Service was very slow. Staff more interested in to each other than attending to customers.. They have seen the last of me..

Default We luv o'shea's

We really love O'sheas. The owner Wayne, the manager Mike, his brothers Andrew and Patrick, and all the other employees as well as most of the customers are just fun loving and great. I am from New Orleans, and I understand there is a difference between 5 star restaurants and neighborhood "fun" restaurants, and I enjoy the "fun" restaurants and the casual eats and great beer and drinks so much more than 5 star gourmet....just in my humble opinion, but I think O'shea's ROCKS

I agree TooJay's is good but we quit going because of slow service -- they would seat you and then we waited 45mins to an hour for our food --

Been there 50+ times. This never happened to me. Sure you are not talking about waiting in line to get in for 45 minutes? That happens all the time. Why? Cause it's good!

Went to O'Shea's and enjoyed my meal. I had the salmon over Parmesan risotto. It was delicious! Service was good, no problem for us during our visit. Mike had fish and chips. He seemed to enjoy his meal, but I think there are other batters for fish that he enjoys more. The fries do come salted and also with pepper. Seems to be the way fries are presented in many dining establishments these days. If you don't want pepper, let the waiter or waitress know. I'd go back again. Some of the foods others are talking about being unavailable when they ordered are not choices I might make for dinner so I might not get to notice if the shepards pie wasn't up to parr or other dishes seemed "wrong."

I've learned to ignore any restaurant 'noise' from anyone who only has a few posts of TOTV. During the past 7 years on this forum we've had many, many plants or disgruntled employees. I'm not saying this particular person is lying but I just put no credence in these posts until they have a respected presence on the forum. I just ignore those posts either positive or negative.

I've been twice and both times there were problems. The first time we had a party of six and never got a seat. We waited for an hour. We walked out and went to City Fire in BW just down the road and had a fabulous meal. The second time we went I had a fairly good meal but my friend's meal was nothing but a piece of salmon over a bed of iceburg lettuce. That was it. We asked to see the menu again and noticed all the things advertised that should have been on that salad was missing. Never went back.

We went to O'Sheas with our son who was visiting from Manhattan. What a mistake! Of all the terrific places we could have taken him, we ended up at the worst place possible. For those of you thinking about giving it another chance... DON'T. My husband ordered the reuben. My son and I ordered a dozen oysters, steamed clams, and wings. We waited FOREVER and the place wasn't even busy. Our waitress was clueless. We had to ask her to check on our food order several times. The reuben was soggy with cold fries and tasteless slaw. The oysters had no flavor and were not cold. The waitress brought double the wings and steamed clams and said we would not be charged for the extra order of wings and clams, and she finally apologized. Then, son of a gun, she charged us for two orders of wings and two orders of steamed clams. We were so frustrated we just paid the bill and left. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Wow, not so sure you are correct in saying NO ONE has said a good word about O'sheas...there have been more compliments then complaints on TOTV if you combine the posts. They may have had growing pains but the staff, owner and manager are great and we enjoy the food and atmosphere. We don't want to see it go under and we don't think it will, either. Let's all be fair and give it a chance as we need more restaurants down that way.

I agree.....been there 3 times and had good service and food each time. Come on folks it's not gourmet, it's a bar with entertainment and serves great beers and bar food.
