I am beginning to think that Putin's message to Obama was to tell him to stay out of the way.....
"Washington (CNN)Russia has conducted its first airstrike against ISIS in Syria, a Russian Defense Ministry spokesman said Wednesday. The airstrike targeted ISIS military equipment, communications centers, vehicles and ammunition, Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said, as part of pinpoint strikes against ISIS ground targets. But a senior U.S. administration official told CNN's Elise Labott the Russian airstrike near the city of Homs "has no strategic purpose" in terms of combating ISIS, which "shows they are not there to go after ISIL." ISIL is another acronym for ISIS." Russia conducts airstrike in Syria - CNNPolitics.com Now it seems they are not bombing ISIS but in actuality targets to help Assad stay in power. Now, we, the USA say Assad must go over and over and over. Putin said he was talking to Obama to invite him to join in a fight for ISIS, and he is bombing already. This is a bit confusing... RUSSIA has told the USA to stay out of the air ! We have allowed all of this to happen. |

Obama's ever-changing foreign policy is to blame. Remember the 'red line' in Syria? Assad crossed it, and not a darn thing happened.
We all know Putin wants Russia to be a world power. Putin sees a vacuum in US leadership, and he means to fill it with Russian leadership. This move has me worried, and praying for a Reagan-esque president in 2016. |

Listening to McCain on MSNBC, I am concerned about something he said....
He claims that while Putin was going broke, OUR ALLIES, because of OUR lack of being involved in anything, those allies are in line buying arms from Russia. That includes Israel. If anyone finds links to support this, please post them. Secondly, Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC reports that the USA was notified of these air strikes by a mid level person rapping on the door of the embassy in Baghdad and telling them...hey, we are going to bomb in Syria...just letting you know. THAT strikes me as insulting as heck. |

Do I think we should have done more? Yes. Do I think our president is a "Hugthemandtalktothem" person? Yes. Is our Bama a leader? No. He's a social visionary who believes if we're just nice and don't bother people all will be okay. Unfortunately he doesn't live in the "real" world, but one he would like to see, but isn't realistic in terms of human nature...he belongs @ a university...not the white house... |

Just for interest....
The news item on the notification of the USA.... "The United States was given one hour's notice before the strike took place, the official said. The notice was sent in Baghdad, where the Russians have set up a coordination unit with Iraq’s government. A high-ranking Russian officer there notified a U.S. military official at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, the U.S. official said." U.S. official: Russia launches first Syria airstrike And the news item on the notification of ISRAEL.... "Russia informed Israel ahead of its Wednesday airstrikes — the first it carried out in Syria — targeting rebel strongholds there, Israeli officials said. About an hour before the aerial bombardment near Homs, Moscow contacted several senior Israeli officials, including National Security Adviser Yossi Cohen, to apprise them. The advance notice was in keeping with an understanding reached between Israel and Russia last week, aimed at avoiding accidental confrontations between the two countries in Syrian airspace." Dear Guest:
One could ask the question as to what Obama meant on that open microphone when he told Putin's predecessor ( puppet) that he would have more flexibility after the presidential elections? One could also ask if the criticism of the Obama mistake of United States having 57 states was really not a mistake but a slip because there are after all 57 Arab States. Obama is many disgraceful things but he is not dumb and he leans toward a European model (socialism) and clearly away from our American way of life. I may be wrong but it looks like the nations he collaborated with to transform America to his liking have outplayed Obama. Putin's efforts stalled at the Ukraine and he needed momentum for his push back to the status of super power and we have an obliging or useful idiot in the White House Personal Best Regards: |

FOUR YEARS.....FOUR YEARS
That is how long the USA has ignored the situation in Syria. During those 4 years, we huffed and puffed a few times, drew lines in the sand, but never did anything. The dead as a result is so huge it cannot be calculated. DEATH AND DESTRUCTION caused by gassings, caused by bunker buster bombs. We asked them to stop using all these things, and they said they would but they went back to it and are still using these weapons. FOUR YEARS...FOUR YEARS We said that Assad must go, but did nothing. And before those with the same response ask if I mean troops on the ground...not specifically because FOUR YEARS AGO, if we had armed the rebels Assad may be gone by now. WHY did the President turn his back on ALL his advisors on this....WHY.... David Petraeus came up with a plan, I believe in 2012 to "that would have vetted, trained and armed selected opposition groups, which have been pleading for such U.S. support for more than a year. " This plan was supported by everyone....Secy of State Clinton, Joint Chief of Staff and 100% of the advisors and our President rejected it. The situation he ignored is the worst refugee situation since WW2.....the DEAD can literally not be counted the number is so huge. Many are simply thrown into huge pits when discovered. Children gassed in the streets and hauled to a huge pit......shot down as they tried to escape. They still are using the gas...Assad is still in charge and now he has Russia bombing on his behalf. I can understand not wanting to put troops on the ground, but ignoring such terrible atrocities no matter where they might be is just not right. Why did he do it...ignore and take NO action at all.... In 2013 NY Times wrote this article entitled..."Why did Mr. Obama overrule his advisors on Syria"..... from that article.... "So why was the Petraeus plan rejected? According to the Times, Mr. Petraeus and Ms. Clinton were rebuffed when they presented the plan to the White House. At the time, Mr. Obama was in the midst of an reelection campaign in which he frequently assured voters that “the tide of war is receding.” Hopes of reviving the plan after the election were thwarted when Mr. Petraeus resigned and Ms. Clinton was sidelined by illness. Mr. Obama’s reasons for quashing the Syria plan were surely not purely political. But the president’s only public explanation for his resistance, in a recent interview with the New Republic, amounted to excuse-making. He wondered why he should concern himself with Syria and not the civil war in the Congo, as if the United States cannot intervene in any war unless it does in all; he asked whether providing weapons to rebels would “trigger even worse violence,” ignoring the testimony of his own aides that, under his present policy, the carnage “every day . . . it gets worse,” as new Secretary of State John F. Kerry put it. This was written in 2013 mind you...... ttps://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/why-did-mr-obama-overrule-his-advisers-on-syria/2013/02/07/e80fa8c0-715d-11e2-ac36-3d8d9dcaa2e2_story.html How can we be lectured about right and wrong...about justice and injustice and ignore what has happened in Syria, not today......FOR FOUR YEARS |

I had said before that Assad should stay in power because if ISIS is defeated it would leave a void of power and it would be filled with something. With Assad good or bad that wont happen. Look at Iraq.

And our talk of justice.......dont believe it any more. Our country is bad or worse as we could have stopped it and simply ignored it....gas, children...what a horrible situation. Now, maybe you are right but I will never forgive our blase attitude toward this situation while we were preaching justice within our borders and ignoring that situation. We pay to kill babies.....we pay for money for students IN INDONESIA to get degrees (I just read that)... so much other things and all this took was a commitent to training and we turned our back on such terrible terrible unspeakable suffering. Now, we must just take what comes. We are not in the drivers seat any longer ...sad really.....did you read about Iran buying from Russia an air defense missle system to protect Iran from us. Iran gets richer, Russia gets stronger and more influential and you are right...it is time to just give it up. |

I guess it is all up to your conscience.
Do we allow poisonous gas genocide and turn our heads the other way, and sacrifice what makes us America? Do we allow terrorism to survive and flourish, because we don't want to get involved? There are several choices, without having an all out war. We will be involved eventually, no matter how long we ignore it. It will come to us. |
