She is very good, and I think she'll do well.

American Idol (season 11) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

No one really captures my interest just yet. Probably too early in the game.
Had to ignore this thread until I caught up on DVR tonight. I cannot imagine watching this show without fast forward .

I judge contestants based on if I would buy their CD. The only one so far for me is Phillip Phillips, but it is so early, that could change.

I may be alone here, but I so enjoyed hearing the critique by Jimmy Lovine during the final cut. I am very tired of the three judges AI has now. IMO they have very little to add except we love you and you were great.......

I too fast forward through AI and feel Jimmy Lovine is a much better judge than the regular judges.

Jessica Sanchez seemed to be channeling the spirit of Whitney Houston the other night. She sounded as good as Ms. Houston was. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jessica_Sanchez

On a strange note, I was watching a news program on TV from Orlando, and heard that a Jessica Sanchez was going to do the morning news. Well that turns out right. It is just a different Jessica Sanchez. http://www.clickorlando.com/news/Jes...k/-/index.html

I agree, I thought she was amazing the other night...... It would be hard to imagine she would not have some form of career in singing, hopefully she can find some different paths than Whitney if she does....

It looks like Jessica Sanchez has already been on TV from when she was 11. She was on the first season of America's Got Talent as a wild card. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America...ent_(season_1)

Default Good talent

Jessica, Hollie and Phillip. Those are my picks. I'm leaning towards Phillip more because he is so unique. I love his "make it your own" moments!

Jessica has been at the top of my fav list from the beginning. I'm way behind on watching my recorded AI episodes though so may have other favs when I get all caught up. I heard Jessica did fantastic job on Whitney Houstion song the other night. Can't wait to watch it. I might have to devote tomorrow to an AI marathon so I can get caught up!

Default Another winner!!

Not that he is from my hometown of Leesburg, Ga. but my pick is Phillip Phillips. Very unique and is really a great kid. My daughter and her husband have seen him perform many times. Just being real, this season has some of the best talent Idol has found thus far IMHO.

Default Who do you think will go home tonight??

I have the bottom three as Heejun Han, Erica Van Pelt and Shannon Magrane. With Mr. Han probably exiting.

I would agree with two of your bottom three, but I would put Deandre Brackensick instead of Erica Van Pelt in the bottom.

My wife thinks the group is still large enough for "block voters" to play a big part, and so believes that the "asian vote" will keep Heejun in play.

You could be right about the block voters. Some of the contestants in the past continued on the show week after week but I never really understood that unless block voting was involved.

Default Go Phillip!

This week Phillip Philips had surgery on Thursday and came back for a great performance on Tuesday. This guy is amazing. I want him to win the whole thing! Love him! Extremely talented and walking to the beat of his own drum.

Pretty clear separation of Jessica, Phillip and Hollie from the rest of the group. Han and Deandre and Shannon can go any time and will not be missed.

I agree, and the voters sent one of those home today. I think Erica Van Pelt, as Taltarzac pointed out, is weak and needs a big moment next week or will be in deep trouble.

Heejun cannot rely on the asian voters to have the same impact the smaller the group gets. So he also needs a great performance.

All the rest are very talented and it's going to be interesting. My wife loves that Colton kid; say he reminds her of David Bowie. She also picks Phil Philips, like Happinow, to win it all.
