I agree that James was excellent last night. I think Lauren will go...

Do remember that James is an Aspie (high-functioning autistic) with Tourettes. Something tells me that even James doesn't know what to always expect. I have noticed that sometimes his tics are pretty pronounced. That has to make it so hard for him to concentrate on singing.

It's really a hard call for tonight. I think Jacob will go but could be Lauren. They're all so good. I'm starting to feel like Casey is acting a little to over confident.

I agree with Memason - Jacob, Casey and Haley in the bottom three. I just can't see how Jacob can last another week. He's been in the bottom three a lot, and even the non-judgmental judges can't keep him around much longer. I don't get Casey's act at all, but I'll give him credit for doing something different (was that singing?) James was far and away the best last night.

Final outcome I say it will eventually be down to Scott or James

After last night James is my new favorite; Jacob still my #2. I think tonight we will say goodbye to Casey, Scotty or Hailey. They are all good at this point.

James gets a WOW for last nights performance. He appeals to all generations and I think that gives him a edge. At the same time, even though country western music is not my style, it is well loved by the majority of the country which is a positive for Lauren and Scotty. I think Haley or Jacob will go tonight.

I think a lot of people's jaws dropped with how James began his song - it was nice to see that he has a real singing voice as opposed to just a rock voice. His arrangement would have been really fabulous if he had gone from acapella to rock and then back to acapella to finish the song.

I was ready for Casey to go; I have grown weary of his growl which he just can't seem to sing without. I am also very weary of Jacob's style. I could never see myself going to either of their concerts.

My favorite right now is Hailey (but admit that part of this is based on her looks). My guess is that James will win it.

Default Scotty or Haley?

Have been rooting for Scotty, but now feeling that Haley may be the winner; she's got everything going for her, beautiful, comfortable stage presence and personality, and a fabulous voice for any genre. She's got it all. I also feel that Scotty will make out very well whether or not he takes #1.

Haley is my girl.
Last week is the first time didn't vote for Scotty....

Actually very disturbed with the voting process altogether.

I spent probably 15 minutes because it was online and I was in front of my TV.

Actually Dancing WTS does it much better. The key is to limit the number of votes one individual can make...

20 million girls are going to vote four hours for Scotty....

I was sad to see James go. He is so versatile, amazing stage presence and perfect pitch.
I guess the metal bit turned some off. I hope his talents will be appreciated elsewhere very soon.

Doug and I were stunned to see James go; thought he would win. We think that he will still be a star. He looked so crushed; he didn't see it coming, and neither did we.

Of the three that are left who are all great singers, I think that Lauren will win. Hard to tell though because so much depends on the popular vote.

I can't believe James was voted off. I like Scotty, but he's a one-trick pony. He'll do well in the C&W world but, to me, James was IT!!!!

I'm not sure I even care who wins now. James deserved to be in the top three at the very least. Hopefully, he will do as well, if not better since he has the better voice and range than Daughtry.

I don't think we TV'ers are the core Idol Audience, and like Islandgirl points out, Metal isn't the popular music with the teens anymore, and that hurt James, I think. The "cool" music right now is Country and Pop; Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum, Lady GaGa and Adele. James is not in that genre (although, he could have been. He can sing anything). Also he wasn't being humble anymore. I think the humbleness of Scotty McCreery is very appealing, and James lost his. (The judges acting like he had it won already didn't help him)

The youngsters sit and vote over and over and over. You heard Lauren's brother say he was voting for 2 hours. He obviously kept calling until he was able to get through the phone traffic to vote multiple times, maybe on the phone and on Facebook. The kids will do that; would you?

Scotty seems to be the favorite because the young girls love him. Maybe he's a one trick pony, as Redwitch says, but it's a darn good trick. I think Haley is the performer with the most sheer talent, and she seems to be resonating with the voters even with 2 of the judges constantly criticizing her (unfairly in my mind. I thought she nailed the songs they disliked, last week and this week). Lauren is almost as erratic as my golf game, but her sweetness is very appealing.

My money is on Scotty McCreery. (although I'm not a lucky gambler)
