I find texting the easiest way to vote; and you can keep forwarding it to send multiple votes. Probably is also what alot of the young people are doing. (... I mean, not that I'm not young, as are we all).

I'm not sure I even care who wins now. James deserved to be in the top three at the very least. Hopefully, he will do as well, if not better since he has the better voice and range than Daughtry.
I totally agree! James was IT!

It was probably more James' personality than his talent that caused him to be voted off. And lest I be criticized nothing to do with his Torette's. He was starting to come off as a little cocky and "coached". And screaming can only get you so far.

Not! Don't predict anywhere near the sucess that Daughtry has had. It's all about the song writing and Daugherty has had two very, very good albums.

Sorry, Russ, I still think James has more talent. He can hold a note, he can sing a ballad. Good songwriters are pretty easy to find, so, if James picks the right talent, I do think he can go further than Daughtry (and I liked him a lot on AI, too). And I'm still not sure I'm going to bother watching it any more this season. Just doesn't seem right that James is out and Lauren is in.

I really didn't see that James was becoming cocky. More confident, yes. Remember, that besides Tourette's, he also has Asperger's. Most Aspies come across as arrogant, not because they are but because they don't have the necessary social graces. In reality, most Aspies are pretty insecure -- it's hard when you never know if you're going to say something that will offend another regardless of your intent. Add Tourette's to the mix and you have to have a young man with enough insecurities to choke a horse. To hear you are good and have it confirmed has got to make you a little more confident and perhaps make you look cocky, but there's too much underlying pain and insecurity to really let you be as arrogant as you might appear.

I guess time will tell but Daughtry has sold millions. James would do well if he was a close second to him.

I currently live in the Raleigh area and this weekend was when the final 3 went to their hometowns. Scotty came home and really conquered ! He was mobbed everywhere he went and gave a concert for approximately 30,000 fans, Some of them having staked out a spot in the park it was given for over 8 hours and it was hot and humid yesterday ! The concert and much of his trip was televised on a local station here. During the concert, he started singing Josh Turner's "Your Man" , got about 30 seconds into the song, turned around and Josh Turner was standing there. He was so surprised he about fell on the floor. They ended up singing 2 songs together. You could tell that the whole day was very emotional for him and he cried openly several times during the day.

He is truly a sincere, talented young man with God given abilities. I don't know if he will win the whole thing but he really doesn't need to. He will have a very good professional career when this is all over and you couldn't ask for more for such a nice young man.

If you are interested, WRAL TV recorded much of his visit. Here is a link to an article which has several links on the left hand side including the entire concert he gave.

What a lovely story about Scotty. He impressed me from the beginning when he stated he hadn't been a "man" when one of the kids was kicked out of his group. For a 17 YO kid, that was a heck of a statement. And I totally agree, he will go far. I just hope someone tells him to quick cocking his head and he finds another way to hold the mike -- it gets old fast. (But I still love James!)

Thanks so much for this link. I posted in on Facebook for my family and friends to see. I think Scotty is some kid, and the sort of American boy that can be a real positive role model. I'm not and have never been a huge country music fan, but I'm rooting for him.

I agree Redwitch, I really liked James also. I'm disappointed that the judges used their "save" so early in the game. I think James deserved to stay.

I agree that Scotty needs to quit cocking his head. You would think one of the many mentors would have told him that. But he is extremely talented nevertheless.

Regardless of what we wrinklies think, the teenagers will probably decide the outcome.

I like Scotty more and more as a singer. In addition to the comments above, I think he should always dress like a star, and ditch the blue jeans and shirt tails out. In comparison to how the others dress, it is not a good contrast IMHO.

We get Idol on Thursday and Friday, so I have to keep away from the forum until it is over! I dont want to know what happens
