Does anyone have an email address for any of the Morse's. I would like to email a problem that we cannot seem to get fixed on our lanai ceiling. The contractor and repair company (Comstar) are arguing about who should pay so we are not getting anywhere and I am getting fed up. I understand others have emailed the Morse's if all else fails but don't know wher to get an email address.

Little more than 2 yrs. There was a crack and it got fixed but then showed back up again after our 1 yr inspection by Villages. Called warrenty and they sent someone out who had fixed it but then it showed up again. They came back out and are saying it is structural in that area, has not moved anywhere else but we can't get to fix it so that is the only problem we are having

Good luck with your problem, but I would be shocked if the developers (or even any of his family/close associates) personal e-mail is out for public dissemination.
I couldn't even imagine the number of daily e-mails they would get...if their addresses were known by residents. .

I think the only way to contact the developer is through his corporate address in Lake Sumter Landing.

I think you should call warranty. It is possible that the dry wall contractor will repatch it for you for a minimal fee since you are out of warranty.
Tell warranty that you have a rebreak (maybe it is STILL covered) if not ask for them to give you the number of the contractor that did it originally and call that contractor and tell the contractor that warranty gave you the number. They want to keep The Villages Inc. happy. In many new homes we have built in Ohio there was settling. I can't say that is what has happened and it may be that it was improperly done. I have never been disappointed in warranty and frequently pleasantly surprised. We have hired the contractors who originally worked on our house for painting etc. and found them MORE than FAIR in their prices.

I was a realtor in CA for 25 years and even though you house might be out of warranty, it still might be covered for construction defects. In CA the warranty covers things like appliances, furnace, a/c, etc; but, in addition to the 1 yr warranty, the actual building construction is covered for any builder defects for 10 years. I don't know if that is true in FL, but I'd check into it. Not many people are aware in CA that their house is covered for 10 years.

Nitehawk.........................isn't the Morse family "the white house" of the villages? America's friendliest home town, maybe your neighbors but certainly not anyone who works with the developer....................and according to our builder he was overruled by the warranty departments head of construction, so while warranty may help with some things if they don't want to do something they won't.

I don't believe it's up to the Morse family to intercede in this matter. There is a warranty department available so that would be where I would call first. If they can't help, ask them who you should contact that would. Maybe a good attorney???

Agree with the realtor from Cali - most new homes carry a 10 year warranty against structural defects - but maybe they don't offer that in TV 'cause they don't need to. That would be where I would start.
