Default Who patrols

This past Sunday I saw a Sumter country patrol car riding around in Hadley. Last evening, (Tuesday) around 8:30pm while traveling on Morse, coming from LSL, I saw a patrol car off on the grass, I'm sure he was doing radar. All roads in TV, are ways in which the public has the right of access. So, all roads would be subject to all traffic laws as set out by the State. And, all roads would be under the jurisdiction of state, county, and local authorities. Being new here, I don't believe TV has it's own empowered PD. Most calls for service to your home I'm guessing would be answered by the County PD.

Short answer - no one. In theory it is the local sheriff's and police departments, but unless there are complaints I don't see them out very often.

Most of the people in the villages have accomplished their lifelong goals with the exception of one and that is to pass the person in front of them.

Have seen an unmarked car in Hillsboro & Osceola Hills. Same car that does home checks.

Ask your friend(wink, wink) to stop in the sheriff's office and talk to the officer in charge. That should get there attention, along with all your home town friendliness neighbors.

I would say TV police or Sheriff, because they are county roads. The roads are maintained by the county so I would say local authority police them! Correct me if I’m wrong.

Villa roads are not county roads. And there is no "County PD" here. All of the counties here have Sheriff's Departments

Monday after shopping at Colony, I was westbound on 466A and about 1/4 mile past the Morse red light a Sumter County Deputy was facing traffic was sitting in his car in the grass median. I had seen this about 4 times in the last two years. I was doing 50 in a 45 and he didn't stop me. This is right across from Havana (Kilimanjaro) nine.

I did get stopped one year ago in December on Powell Rd northbound, which I travel several days a week going to MVP at Brownwood. It's the same road the gold dome and Alden Bungalows are on. They also have built the new Sumter Sheriff Headquarters on that road just south of the gold dome. You don't see it because it sits back about 300 yards down a small road. Anyway, I was going 50 in a 35, most cars do 40 to 45 on that road. He just gave me a warning, he was real nice guy. I told him at the time I watched Live PD every week and said, real police work is not like that.

Exclamation

My neighbor across the street got a ticket last year in his golf cart.
On Stillwater by an officer coming toward him with radar.
He got a lawyer and the case was dismissed, charges were dropped.

Was it a street legal cart, on Stillwater proper going over 25???? If it was on the MMP the police cannot write speeding tickets (but can cite you for DUI or open container)

Correction-----was it on Stillwater between Morse and Odell, where it is a cart lane alongside the main roadway, in which case you CAN get a ticket?

At Stillwater the cart has to be on a MMP. Those are off limits to police for speeding because it is private property is what I've always heard and seen. However, I have heard they can enforce DUI and open container laws on the MMP because you're a operating a motor vehicle impaired.

I think you made the same error I did, see my corrected post
