Some people seem to be wishing for the economy to tank with a return of high inflation. Fortunately, I think those folks will be disappointed. IMO we are in the middle of demand far outstripping supply as people get back to work and start feeling better about spending more. This will settle down by the end of the year.

You have to ask yourself, what has changed these last 4 months?

Inflation is on the way, more here, I have seen the dollar (at one time the strongest currency in the world) against 2 other currencies.
Dollar against Mexican Peso in October 2020 one dollar was worth 22 pesos, today one dollar is worth 19 pesos (going down)
Dollar against euro in May 3rd 2021 dollar was worth 0.834 Euros, today it’s worth $0.81, conclusive reports look at the dollar going down 10% within the next 12 months, that is not sustainable. This is not political, however all of us work extremely hard and saved all our lives so we could relax and don’t worry about extreme inflation as it’s happening today. May God Bless America!!!!!

Good policies lead to good outcomes. That is good governance, which is lacking right now.

Prices are rising are so quickly that the material quotes are good only for a single day.

Is this the same in TV? Are new home prices there climbing substantially?

When will this subside?

Glad we bought in TV back when.
Printing money and paying people not to work. Plus woke complaining doesn’t build anything. And media lies and coverups to keep public ignorant.

I disagree. Remember the Carter years. 18% interest on home loans? Gas lines. Shortages. Stock market in the tank. Stag Flation. History repeats itself when we fail to teach history to our children.

That is called inflation. The CPI consumer price index is up 4.2%.

When, will it subside? Beats me. Will it end well? I hope so but I don't think so.

That thought is endless. Teach history? I find that subject fascinating. History, is for most indoctrination. Reality is far removed from what is fed to us in school. We have turned people into either good or evil. No one is totally good or totally evil and yet we expect and demand and accept that.

I am truly strange. I deal with what is not what should be and I accept responsibility for the choices I make. I only control a very small part of the future.

I hope I am wrong. I don't see any way this will end well. Printing money. The gimmmmeeeeessss cheer but so do investors. Imagine, retired people got covid aid checks to offset income lost from work.

Self responsibility is seen as stupidity.

Just heard on the radio - from Home Depot, plywood.... $68/sheet - DOUBLE in 4 months. The FL contractor who called into the talk show said he gives his remodeling etc bid to homeowners with a 48HOUR provision that it will need to be renegotiated if not locked in - 100% because of material prices... yikes. He commented that he also went to Autozone for an air filter - DOUBLE this year, and cans of spray paint same. .... hunker down folks.
