Mitch, I really doubt you are speaking for the "rest of us". I've noticed many people greeting dogs at the Town Squares with pleasure.

So far you've called your fellow TOTV members "sicko", "obnoxious" and "wackos".

I hope we can all live peaceably together without name calling.

Mitch, where is all this hostility coming from? Chill our and smell the roses instead of calling your neighbors derogatory names. Dogs are here to stay.

Talking Being responsible

I loved taking my dog with me when I was out and about in TV and if he misbehaved, he was removed from the situation. A new puppy is expected in the late fall and he will be taught how to behave in public and accompany me into the squares and restaurants that allow dogs.

Being a responsible dog owner is the most important issue being debated here.....whether it is walking the pooch in your neighborhood or accompanying you to a restaurant patio.

There are signs at both squares that say "pedestrians only". Anyway dogs poop and pee where ever they are and I for one don't want to walk in their poop. Surely you've seen poop on the sidewalks around the squares. Why in the world do you have to bring your dog to the square?

For someone who professes to "like dogs" you seem awful negative about them.

Just an observation

Default Dogs not allowed on Town Square

Pushing them around in little baby buggies, for crying out loud. They walk their dogs by my house and let them pee in any yard they want. They ride them around in their golf carts. And my favorites are the overweight people who ride in the cart while the little dog huffs and puffs along side. Don't you people have a life? We have a beautiful Black Lab and on one of the first vists to Spanish Springs town square we noticed the lady Lake Cop exit his vehicle and walk toward us. I figured he is going to warn or cite us. When he reached us he got down on his knees and hugged our beauty. he then gave him a dog biscuit. Since then we have seen this officer several times and this "not Allowed?" dog is still given the Royal Treatment.

I didn't know dogs in Michigan don't poop and pee. Every post of yours has been derogatory, and offensive. I vote the dogs at eateries, but you not.

Can't honestly say I have seen any "leavings" in the squares.

The police officers in Spanish Springs is obviously a good guy and loves dogs.Even so, if the dog was illegal I am sure he would enforce the law.

I'm sorry but that comment is moronic. The signs preclude the use of golf carts, bicycles, skate boards, Segways, mopeds --- seeing a trend here? It does not bar access for wheel chairs, strollers, one-legged people with crutches, or even that guy from the 30's movies who had no legs and rolled around on a board on wheels selling the latest edition of The Daily Planet.

And it does not bar access to pets. If that were the intent, there would be a sign that said in great big letters "NO DOGS ALLOWED". Ain't no such sign.

I like seeing pets on the two Villages squares if they are well behaved that is. I would not expect many of them would like all the noise though at certain times on the Squares.
