So much to talk about and so little time.
I think someone needs to try the decaf!

I like that one, katezbox lol. My guess is that he has too much time on his/her hands. We had a drive by on the political forum last week. My guess is that he/she likes to stir things up and then sits back and laughs. Some kind of adrenalin rush, I suppose.

Default Deeds and Covenants for dogs in Santo Domingo

I would like to call all dog owners to look at their deeds and restrictions that they agreed to and signed when they bought their homes. At least in Santo Domingo, but probably throughout The Villages, you are only allowed to have one dog. In the Santo Domingo 'Declarations of Restrictions' it is item 2.23. I can't tell you how many dog walkers I see with more than one dog. I'm going to pursue this through the Villages and see what I can do about it. Those of you with more than one dog better start deciding which little poochie has to go. And if anyone thinks that The Villages doesn't enforce their restrictions when somebody complains I've got a whole lot of horror stories I can tell you about.

Default Why Do You Care?

If they are not bothering you, why do you care? Maybe some are dog sitters and prefer to walk more than one at a time. BTW, my papers don't say how many.....just that they are not to be a nuisance and does not say anything about dogs....just pets. I don't think just being seen can be classified as a nuisance. (Hope I spelled that right.) IMHO

I highly doubt that anyone at this point is going to get rid of their well loved pets!!

Default That isn't nice what you said about Democrats. And I am a Republican.

But. But. But.

I think that things are getting a little out of hand here. The people who run this show have rules about personal attacks. Maybe someone can help find the door for him.

Default It's just talk. Turn it off if you want.

CAVEAT -- this post is meant for no individual in particular. If you see something you like, take it.
Okay. I know the 1st Amendment applies only to the gov't. It does not apply to private industry such as TOTV nor to interpersonal relationships. However, though it is not dictated by law, we in America have adopted a custom of respecting at least limited freedom of speech in our semi-public interpersonal activities. This concept of protecting and accepting freedom of speech was not aimed at speech with which we agreed or was innocuous. Those need no such guards. It is aimed at speech with which we don't agree, which we might personally might find distasteful, or which we just don't like.

Do we have to listen to/read it? No. We can change the dial, hit the delete button, or just skip it. I don't think TOTV has a "kill file" function that I find invaluable for spammers and a few others on my email. I used it on an old Usenet group I frequented, but in retrospect, it's not that great a tool for a forum/newsgroup. You'd eliminate the person entirely from your viewing. If they should come up with something of value in the future, you've missed it. God knows, those kill files would have been filled during the great Horse Park/card game room controversy last year, and they'd have overflowed during the election. But a better tool is to see what a thread is all about and if it interests you, read it. If not, skip it. If a poster bugs you, skip his entries.

Old point, but TOTV is not about you. It's about everybody. Not all topics are for everybody and not all posters appeal to all. Chill a bit.

And if you disagree with me, then you, sir, are worse than Al Gore.

I happen to agree with you, but

What's Gore got to do with it, got to do with it?
Hey sounds like a Tina Turner song.
