I’m happy to see this post, I thought I was the only one with excessive dust. Recently I replaced my HVAC, (not because of the dust) and had the 21 year old ducts cleaned as an up charge to the HVAC purchase and went with a much better filter. Then I had the Berber carpets in the bedrooms cleaned. The rest of the house is LVP which has a different set of cleaning issues. . I still have dust, but not near as much as before.

Even after changing filters on a schedule we still have a considerable amount of "dust," especially in our master bedroom, which is the farthest from the heating/cooling system. Our home is 5 years from original build and the first reason we were told about dust was during the construction of our home the drywall applicators would turn on the fan in the A/C to help dry the dry wall mud, which would suck up any construction "dust" laying around. So we had our ducts cleaned, helped somewhat, but the extent we thought it would. My theory is that there is openings in the taped seams of the duct work and what is being sucked up is the "dust" from the blown in insulation, small enough to find its way into the ducts.
Don't know if that could be true, but it never seems to go away. |

My A/C filter does not get as dirty as I used to see in my other homes. I think that the design of the systems here with the return so high in the ceiling that the dust is not being pulled up. Allowing it to settle on everything inside.

We like having our windows open when the weather is good (like it has been for the last month). And yes, we do have dust. I think a lot of it is pollen and the particles on the lawn that the landscapers disturb when they zoom around on their riding mowers. We do have dark floors and furniture, and notice it mostly when the morning sun comes in at a low angle.
So we dust and vac. (Better than having to scrub the floors). |

I just stopped wearing my glasses. It solved a LOT of problems.
![]() The face in the mirror is not wrinkled or drawn. The house is not dusty, the cobwebs are gone. The yard looks quite lovely and so does the lawn, I think I might never put my glasses back on. |

The husband of a friend of mine once commented on the dust he saw on a cabinet. He is now an ex-husband. In our house, I see nothing!
