When we are in TV we eat out 5-6 evenings a week. We eat breakfast and lunch at home most of the time. When we bought our Villa it was four years old and the owner, who was a snowbird, said they had never turned the oven on. The first week we were there I tried to run the dishwasher and it rumbled but didn’t run. I called the former owner and asked if he knew what was wrong and he said he didn’t know, but I might check to see if the valve under the sink was closed as he didn’t think they had ever run it. I checked and sure enough the valve had not been opened and it worked like new, which it was!

We eat out almost every night. We don't like to cook or clean up. Hubby works from home, one full-time job and one part-time consulting thing. He needs to get out of the house for a while every day to flush work from his brain.

I fully disagree! I enjoy cooking & we mostly eat at home. My stove or oven gets plenty of use.

You need to find a different supermarket as there's plenty of sugar and everything else elsewhere. Don't be snobbish and go to Save-A-Lot they have perfectly good T-Bones at $5 a pound on sale once a month and family packs and once it's on the grill it tastes wonderful. Personally we are off stakes and meat because of cholesterol except maybe once a month. We buy lots of fish and Chicken at Aldi's which is 30% less than Publix or even Walmart. Stop going out so much cuz the wife says I cook better than most places and it's really disgusting that you pay 50 bucks for two meals when you include the tip and one or two iced teas. Even going to oakwood got expensive

We get carry out 3 or 4 times a week and eat it at home. Other days, leftovers or salads.

95% of the time we elect to eat at home mostly because it taste better and we enjoy having our meal here, on the lanai or watching TV and enjoying each other’s company. The cost of food has gone up, but I continue to buy the sales and build my menus accordingly. I also try many new recipes I find on line and some have become keepers. We do enjoy going out on occasion with our friends, etc, but we also invite our friends here for an afternoon/evening, etc. Sometime we change things up and opt a brunch on the lanai and cook outside in the outdoor kitchen. We have a busy life between pickleball and golf…but cooking is fun and we enjoy our home and the great tasting food. I make desserts often and share with the neighbors. On a weekly basis, I would say maybe once a week or once every couple weeks we eat out.

I don't understand any of this....probably would need a translator if it was important.

My husband every so often wants to give me a tour of my kitchen, but I tend to forget quickly where it’s located*♀️

Default A little of everything

We eat out 2 or 3 times a week — almost always dinner. Breakfast and lunch are mostly at home — microwave or cold items. We subscribe to Freshly for 3 dinners per week. (Microwave meals). Once or twice per week carry out — pizza or Publix sub. Occasion use of stovetop or oven. That’s it

We "might" eat out 2X a week. Our eating habits seem to have changed both in eating out or at home. We find at home our food stretches over more than 2 meals (supper/dinner). We eat VERY light at breakfast and lunch but a bit more for the evening meal. When we eat out, we've found we both have to ask for boxes. I think as one ages (for us anyway) the amounts of food aren't as copious as in the past. Plus cooking at our house has become more "simple" in that recipes aren't followed anymore. As for the shopping "experience" we buy what we buy (mostly), due to food sensitivities. Don't purchase expensive cuts of meat much anymore. I did notice the price of bacon at a Publix last week as being nearly $10.00/lb....took a pass!!! Someone told me they get their's at Aldi but I'm not sure of the price there. Gasoline has gone up, which we all know and I'm sure our economy is taking a HUGE hit all the way through
