There was no fighting. The plane was quite. There were a lot less kids probably due to time of year. It seems the interior of the planes keep getting tighter & more uncomfortable. Covid announcements both in LGA & aboard the plane were relentless.

Prior to this trip & the year or so of not flying at all, we had been flying back & forth btwn LGA & MCO every few months for about six years. The flights were always full & had many children & babies. They were uncomfortable & irritating and we wouldnt have bothered but we had family in the Villages so it was important to put up with it.
Glad you put up with it, but if you find it annoying and ridiculous please chose a different method of transportation next time. No one owes anyone a flight.

Have a friend that’s a flight attendant and the stories she shares are hilarious. Most everyone is courteous and upon being instructed to wear their mask correctly the entire flight all is good. Most all love their job, but sometimes they’re treated rudely but keep a smile. On occasion they run into a tipsy passenger, but for the most part the thousands of flights everyday go by without issues. Remember, they’re also trained for medical emergencies as well as solving passenger problems. Not for just picking up trash and handing out drinks. Also, there is a serious shortage of flight attendants, so if anyone is looking for a fun job working as little as three days a weeks with perks, call JetBlue or United. They’re hiring now.

I guess forced mask wearing is causing some of it and the mask police also not helping.by the way I fly about every 3rd month and one international in august.
Yes, that's a real good possibility for a reason for fights and violence - mask-wearing and mask-Police are the work of the devil!

I fly Southwest back and forth to NY once a months and the flight crew gives a light hearted speech that hits all the "hot buttons", and everyone laughs. I've never seen a passenger cause a problem. Fingers crossed.

One can only ask her when you're 10 feet tall

We have ALL seen on TV the near fights and screaming at and the intimidating that is rampant at SCHOOL BOARD meetings. One guy got his shirt ripped off! There will soon have to be the equivalence of Air Marshalls at School Board meetings. Note: Portugal has a 98 % vaccination rate and they have no aircraft or school board violence. And an aircraft is a MORE crowded and contentious environment than a school meeting. Normal America has become crazy, chaos America in recent years - must be something in the water. Maybe we should sample the water here locally in a lab? Just saying.

Mandated vaccines and masks have tipped the scale. Mask compliance has replaced liquor and smoking issues for the majority of passenger misconduct reports. Although the majority of flights take off and land without incident, there certainly are more, for good reasons,

I think the Greyhound comparison is too kind. If one is over 5’7”, they suffer a miserable jammed-in flight. We have flown often and afar over the years. Even though I still love to travel, I would only fly now if there was a family emergency.
