Wow, I can't wait for this cold weather to break. Maybe then these rumor spreading posters will go outside and stop dreaming up all these crazy ideas. If you look at some of their join dates, it's lucky if some of them are here two years. Where do they get this stuff? Every one seems to want The Villages to fit things here into "their" lifestyle or needs. Hey, I think I'll start a rumor that there will be a shuttle bus available to pick you up at your house and take you to the Square of your choice. Sounds ridiculous right? So does some of this other cyber trash that's put out here. I wish some of these people could go back 6 or 7 years and read some of the creative posts there. They weren't all about me, me, me or how the developer is shafting us or "where we come from". We all made what I assume were educated decisions to come here, so please stop crying about every little thing not going your way. The roads here go both ways, in and out. If your so miserable use the out one.

Did you closely read the article that you linked?

THE SQUARE was RENTED to the Republican Party, which then had standing to exclude whomever they wished. (Just as YOU can exclude someone from property that YOU control.) "David Bitner, the chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, defended the decision to remove people from the square." according to the linked article.

1. It was not MORSE who ejected the protesters. THE SQUARE is private property, not the streets.
2. They were ejected from THE SQUARE, not from the surrounding streets or sidewalks across the streets.

I heard a Rumor Committee was forming to help eliminate all rumors. I hear they are meeting at Lake Miona Rec center tonight at 6pm and because it's the first meeting there will be free pizza and beer.

I don't think that anyone is talking about banning cars from the squares or making it impossible for outsiders to come to the squares. If I'm not mistaken, the issue is PARKING on the squares. As I said, there are many parking spaces behind the buildings for cars. Obviously cars would have to be allowed to drive through the squares but parking could be reserved for golf carts only just as it is in some other areas.

If you come to the square in your car, you'd have to park in one of the parking lots behind the buildings. If you come in a cart, you could park in the squares themselves. Arrangements would have to be made for vendors on market nights and musicians and DJs playing in the squares. But it could be done and no one would be left out.

I have some really bad breathing problems. If I find a spot on the square closer to where I'm going, I want that spot for my car. We will not take a golf cart all the way to Brownwood from BonnyBrook.
