Don has my vote if for no other reason than he defended my asking questions when I was new to the NSCUDD board. He spook up at the board meeting to ask that I be allowed to continue my questioning. I wish there were more public officials like Don.

Some folks would do well to think just a little bit before putting pen to paper, or in this case, fingers to keyboard. Better to keep your mouth shut, and appear to be ignorant, than to open it and remove all doubt.

The Governor's appointment to fill a commissioner vacancy is completely above board, and in compliance with state statute. Filling a commission vacancy ensures the county's business can continue, and the residents be represented, until the next scheduled election. Would people rather a vacant seat remain empty, possibly stalling important issues/decisions, for the next seven months?

Further, anyone who suggests that Don Wiley is just another puppet of the Developer has obviously never heard him speak, or even watched any of his videos. I believe that Don will be a fair and open-minded commissioner, and will do his best for all residents of Sumter County. The good thing about an interim appointment is that you get to "test drive" the man before you cast a vote in November. For gosh sakes, give the man a chance.

Great reply, I totally agree.

Maybe he is busy?
Or are you trying to plant something nefarious?

It’s an INTERIM appointment - would you rather the residents of the county not have a fully functioning government until November, actually, probably 2023, when new officials are sworn in?

Well, I missed posting videos 112 and 113 here on TOTV, why?

Could it be that I've been a little busy lately?

When I do post videos it takes a lot of time to share them to FB, Twitter, and other sites, and yes, occasionally I do miss posting on one site or page and don't realize it until much later. Generally, a day or two after the video is posted on YouTube, I move on as I have to produce about 10 videos a week for my customers, some are private, some are on my other YouTube channel.

According to the analytics that are provided by YouTube, the postings here represent 1-2% of the total views received by my videos, if I miss posting here, it has little impact. It's not that TOTV isn't an important site, it is, it's just not as easy to post videos here on a mobile device as it is on my desktop computer. I do most of my reading of TOTV on my phone and if I've forgotten to post the video, I generally don't have the time to go back and post it while on the phone.

Shouldn’t a political comment like this removed?

As far as Don Wiley is concerned, I cannot think of a more knowledgeable and even handed individual. The governor has the right to appoint if a seat is vacated mid term. Don should be graciously thanked for the effort and work this position will take. Most people do not understand the efforts and time involved with sitting on any commission or board and the rules that must be followed. My hat off to you, in advance, sir.

In the past local politics such as those directly related to The Villages have been allowed. I’m sure if that’s changed we’ll soon know.
