Yes Sir. Over here it's way less for the year than it was for a month in Jersey. Every since you mention Rods in Convent Station I've been going down The restaurant Memory Lane. Imagine living here and not raising kids and having all that extra money to go out to eat. Whoa!

The only thing TV is missing is above mediocre restaurants and the one that are above mediocre are IMHO ripoff's for what they offer

I have seen the house referred to by the OP and listed for $949K. It is a very nice house. I usually don't have a problem with the pricing of new houses by The Villages. But, this house is priced at two times the cost of the house next door to it, and both have very similar views. Also, if you have two cars and a golf cart, you will not be able to park them in the two car garage. All other houses on the street have a two car garage and a golf cart garage. So, I think this house is overpriced, but, I guess someone will buy it.

BTW- it is not a rock, it is "The Full Bean" that is what my old boss used to call it when we got a $1MM cost reduction - we got the Full Bean (I think this was based on the accountants being Bean Counters).

Normally houses are priced by the neighborhood-designers with designers, premiers with premiers--got a designer loaded with lots of fluff price like a premier-its still a designer- we live in a designer -the size fits our life style--- no kids and no visitors

It is not a shame to have something you can afford and that you worked hard for. Most people here didn't harm others or steal anything to own their lovely homes, big or small.

Well said. We are very happy with what we have here - our house, our friends, our activities. The size of our house is irrelevant for the last two which are the ones that occupy most of our waking hours. Anyone up for some dancing tonight?

You can easily get 2 cars and a golf cart in an Ivy with a stretched garage as this one is. I have the same stretch and on the 2-car side I have 8 feet left in front of my Buick Enclave which is a rather large SUV, I had my golf cart in front of it today as I'm re-doing the golf cart side with different shelves, etc. That house is also over 2,800 sq. feet extremely large for a designer which I'm sure is much larger than the two homes next to it as I've never seen two Ivy's beside each other. You're right, someone will buy it and until they start building premiers they'll build more of these 10's. One good thing is that it has a lower bond than a premier which would have a much larger lot but I doubt that a buyer will be concerned about the bond.

What's been so interesting to me for the past 9 years that we have lived here ....Watching the prices escalate to near, or greater than, what homes up north with both attics, basements and a decent sized piece of property cost!

As I said, I looked at the house. It may be possible to fit a golf cart in front of a small car, but it would be a tight fit. And, obviously, you would have to move the car out of the way to get the cart out. Not a good situation, especially for million dollar house.
