Default Discretion?

It's not like this is a passport to get into the country, it's a verification that someone is allowed to use a pool. Not something to get all worked up about and start being a snitch on the Villages employees that are using common sense. Let the Villages employees do their jobs and MYOB.
*Now* we're getting somewhere. :-) Discretion or follow the dern rules? Does one report Anne Frank?

Never understood why reductio ad absurdum is sometimes categorized as a logical fallacy, so this gave me the opportunity to once again learn via googlage:

"If used in its traditional sense of the term, reductio ad absurdum can be a valid argument. However, it is also a form of logical fallacy when used incorrectly to dismiss an entire argument".

Now I guess I'm gonna have to delve deeper into bar codage. :-(

As a resident, I think you should show your ID each and everytime you are asked. Not a copy, not a number, your actual ID. This helps prevent fraud. I was also told a couple weeks by one of the rec center employees they are getting an updated system and entering a number or name will no longer work. Bring your ID with you and it resolves any issues.

Far too simple and logical.
Would never work!

3 pages of nonsense, just typical.

You are required to carry an original ID Card to use the amenities.

I totally disagree. From "districtgov.org":

Villages Resident & Guest ID Cards
Always carry your original Villages ID, or Guest ID, and a photo ID for access and use of the facilities. Follow all rules and regulations posted in recreation centers. Only original IDs are accepted at the recreation centers.

Same here.

Used it (photo of ID) several times and keep other needed items in a photo file on phone such as pet vaccination, license plates ‘number’ (for hotels etc).
Very handy. Secure too.
