Been there (situation, not location). Done that. The tailgater realized the error of his ways and backed way off. Tailgaters are a very real danger as they can't see what you see. They may not, for many reasons, be able to react if you need to or if you stop for any reason (physical, mechanical, etc). At best, they are annoying jerks. At worst, they are a threat to life and limb. Not just to the one they are 'gating, but to others on or near the highway as well. They are their own worst enemy. Sitting in a ditch is his own fault. Go back? Way too dangerous, for many reasons.

If my brake lights caused him to wreck I'd say he was responsible for any accident, not me. There have been thousands of times someone ahead of me on the road put on their brake lights, not once did I have to react in a way that made me crash.

His actions his fault, I stand by that. I'd be willing to bet that the next time he was in a similar situation he behaved differently. But then he didn't suffer from peter trouble like I do.

When someone tailgates me, I do believe them. They, thru their actions show me they are pushy, arrogant, impatient, threatening, stupid, jerks who have no idea what a danger they are on the highway. If their behavior causes them to end up in a ditch, it is their own doing. Sorry, but this time , based on my reading of his story, and my own experiences, I side with LeRoySmith.

You sound like a defensive driver who keeps a proper space cushion.

Then as I passed him he gave me the stink eye like I did something. We both end up turning s/b on 27 with him tailgating me now. Then as I make a left turn, he had to swerve to the right because he was soo close to me now and then he proceeded to Flip me off like I was wrong for wanting to turn. Not a good look or this business ~ Morgan’s Whole 9 yards. I would definitely NOT hire this company based on this guys action and behavior
Why not report it to the business or did it really happen?
