I've been a firearms instructor for over 40 years. 20 years at The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. I'm a NRA Counselor, Instructor and have 5 more NRA Ratings. I've been with the Straight Shooter since the club was formed. If you contact the Straight Shooters, they will sent you to me.
Shooters World will low ball you, I worked there for almost a year. I would think they would offer $300 - 350.00. ( If you're willing to go down to 300.00, send me a PM, I'll buy it today. ![]() Nordic Pawn closed 4 or 5 months ago. Pat's Pawn in Leesburg is out of business You must be a member of the Straight Shooters to post on their web page. There are web sites you can list on. Some are free, but most charge you a monthly fee. If you go this way be careful about who you invite to your house. $400 - 450.00 is a fair price for a used Glock. Once you walk out the door with it, it's a used gun. I think I have addressed all the threads. I have sold gun collections for people in the Villages for years. Mostly after a husband has passed. If you send me a pm. I'll give you my phone number and we can talk about the best way for you to proceed. If you go to the club web page to the Ask the Gun Guru, you can get me that way.

Call Rick at auctionarmsusa, he is an FFL, and will come to your house and pick it up, and sell it on his auction site.

I have seen them sold at yard sales. Apparently, this is legal in Florida but in my mind, not very sound.

If you sell private be sure to get a Bill of Sale (you can download one) and a copy of their DL or CCW and hold on to it.

l did a pretty lengthy search on Gun Broker of completed auctions (sold) Glock 19 Gen 4 pistols. Average sales price is around $350. Even though the pistol has a low round count, it is still a used Glock 19. Nothing special as there have been thousands of them sold over the years.

There are consignment shops you should check out. I have sold two long guns and a pistol up north on consignment and was happy with the outcome each time. But none down here. So I don't know what the typical commission is in this area.
But consignment is nice because for the cost of the commission fee (I think it was %15 and I still made money), the dealer displays your firearm, performs the actual sale and incurs the headache of all the paperwork. To me, that is a small price to pay as it relieves you of all that uncertainty. Of course, you need to set a good price: not so high that it won't sell, but not so low that you'll do any less than break even. You should work with the dealer on the best price because the dealer has an interest in the sale as well. The other thing you'll have to track is progress. Don't be a nag. But do periodically check on whether there's been any feedback or interest, maybe every 3 weeks or so. If not, you might have to adjust price. Once I called to check and was happy to discover the gun had already been sold. Lesson learned is you can't always count on the dealer to call you back. There was Nordic Gun & Pawn in Wildwood. But looks like they are gone now. Do an Internet search on "firearm consignment". Those weekly mailers and flyers are full of them, too. Sometimes they will be "pawn shops", but some will offer consignment arrangements. Regular gun shops often do as well. |
