Yes, the virus is small enough to penetrate the holes of a cotton fabric or any fabric mask for that matter. Having said that, the virus does not travel by itself. The virus needs a mode of transmission when traveling through the air. That mode of transmission is droplets which come out as a fine mist when a person speaks. The droplets also are spewed with more propulsion into the air when a person coughs or sneezes. Home made face masks have been proven to block the spray of droplets. Think about this.....why do we sneeze into a tissue? Because the tissue blocks the spray of droplets that come out of the sneezers mouth and nose.

Masks made out of fabric and filters such as paper towels and coffee filters, for example, stop those droplets from spraying onto the air and into someone's mouth and nose. Unfortunately, eyes are still vulnerable because the general public does not wear face shields. Eye glasses help with the droplet spray to the eyes with some degree but are not as effective as a face shield.

Bottom line is......your mask protects me and my mask protects you. My mask does not protect me but I surely hope you are wearing a mask so I'm protected too. You can be an asymptomatic carrier of this virus and not even know you are infecting others if you do not wear a mask.

I agree completely with this.

I also where gloves in a store. I understand that this does nothing to protect me, and it can just as easily transport virus as a bare hand. However, if I take them off before getting in the car, my steering wheel stays clean. Not much, but it makes me feel better.

I won't get tested even if I show symptoms because...I already know they will label it Covid19 without an actual test and I'll be added to the jaded numbers increasing panic over something I may or may not truly have...plus they'll just tell me to go home and walk it off...but rest assured I have brains enough to stay home and away from people when sick or have symptoms of being sick.

6. I wash my hands with soap and water because...well, that's just common sense.

7. I WILL NOT GET THE COVID19 VACCINE! The gov has never mandated a vaccine and I'll be damned if they make me put something in my body, that was created in less than 2 weeks of this "outbreak". I'm not a sheep and will not be manipulated by the gov into thinking they have our best interest.

8. I will not live in fear. If you want to stay in your house and never go out because you are "doing the right thing" that's fine, that's you. But I'm not going to let the media scare me into mass panic. That's what they want, to shut this country down and they’re doing it right in front of your face. I will continue to go out and support locals as much as possible. I will not live in fear!
Start researching...you have all the time in the world. Turn off the news and start researching from sources that have NO financial gain or conflict of interest...you will learn quite a bit, and you will realize you've been lied to and manipulated.

There have been reports for a few weeks by physicians who were being directed to list all deaths in the hospital environment as covid deaths regardless of other existing conditions and regardless of the degree of intensity of the virus upon admisssion.

I have a SIL who is a head nurse at a Detroit hospital.
Had a patient that came in with no C-19 symptoms, tested negative for C-19 but died from heart failure.
It was falsely listed as a C-19 death.

Question - if a good mask - one that you cannot shine a light thru - doesn't protect people than why do healthcare workers wear them when treating Covid patients? to protect the Covid patients from getting Covid - or to protect the healthcare worker from getting Covid?
