It’s the great Florida outdoors. This virus survives for barely a minute in the UV of the bright Florida sun. No need for masks that offer little more protection than merely psychological.

Oh my gosh. Are you one of those people who would rather be dead than have your “rights” violated? Or are you in the group who thinks it’s all a hoax? And what are you so angry about? Everyone here is capable of making their own decisions. Me? I just prefer to stay alive.

That's how it looks to me too, Katieburr. I used to sit on the right side of the aisle, but now I am standing in the middle.

Default Dogs are not the problem

What's your point? I have seen many people walking with children, grandchildren, family not practicing social distancing among themselves nor respecting the space of other walkers. Dogs are not the problem; people are.

I agree, the virus is still with us and we need to take precautions against it and if wearing a mask will help we are all for it, but if no one is around when getting our mail I don't wear mine.

Taking your chances IS your choice. But think about this-you are taking your chances; unknowingly you have the virus, but are non-symptomic; say you infect a neighbor and they get very sick; and then the spouse does; and the grandkids stopped by before the symptoms were prevelent and someone dies. You took YOUR chances. If you feel all the pain and suffering it COULD cause (ie taking a chance) are worth it, so be it. But wear a sign so we know you don't care

I agree with you. Unfortunately, I have believed for quite a long time, and now I'm sure, "common sense" is a myth.

I see you’re a fellow Long Islander. We tend to be more cautious, but a mask isn’t required if you are 6 feet apart. I wear mine most times except when out for a walk

I hope most people will continue to wear masks in confined spaces at the very least. It’s a very small price to pay to continue to implement all things we know might help slow the spread. If it can potentially protect people and help our economy rebound from this, I am all for it. I am not for “mask-shaming, but I might tend to give the “side-eye” to anyone not wearing a mask in the near-term. This is not a good time for arrogance because the full nature of the virus is still evolving.

Some people just don't get it! It takes 1 to turn to 10 and so on. There have been so many deaths here in NY . It's real folks. Friends have lost loved ones. I don't leave my house . My husband only goes to the supermarket with a mask and gloves. And that's it. I can't understand why it is so difficult to wear a freakin mask. I'm sure when I come down , you will certainly want me wearing a mask! The sooner everyone does the right thing the sooner we will be rid of this virus! BE SMART

Default No mask? It's sad...

... that so many TV neighbors are too selfish and self-absorbed to be bothered to wear a mask temporarily until this situation passes. Mask saves lives. I wear one to save you [bunch of old people with comorbidities ie: hypertension, heart disease, diabetes and so on]. Masks are not to protect you, they are to protect your neighbor. Not to wear one is rude and publicly espousing that you are either (mistakenly) vain or ignorant of the situation.
<shaking my head>.

Clean up your act!
