I would be happy to share a few pink flamingos from my front yard flock.

NOW...can anybody explain to me exactly how the Historic side became part of
"The Villages"..........
ALL residential property IN The Villages are located in CDD's numbered 1 thru 11.
Nothing on the Historic side is in any of the residential CDD's in The Villages.
From the District Manager.

The amenity services provided to the residents in the Lady Lake/Lake County portion of The Villages (recreation, storm water, and landscape maintenance, etc.) are provided through The Village Center Community Development District. The Amenity Authority is responsible for setting policy and the budgets that provide the services.

If Morse was thinking of buying the area, why would he have spent all that money for recent upgrades to Paradise Park?

The Amenity Authority Committee (AAC) upgraded Paradise Park.

That the reason the historic district isn't in a CDD is because it is in the Town of Lady Lake.

It is a beautiful area and I think there is a lot of potential for new homes. I have noticed that most of the old oak trees are still standing, which is more than you can say for some of the newer areas!
It happens all the time. People tear down older homes and replace them. Sometimes with newer manufactured homes and sometimes with site built homes. If you drive around here you'll see many block and frame homes.

I was driving around there the other day and saw a huge, brand new Manufactured Home being set up. It looked like a super nice model.

The historic area will continue to see this as so many people find it a very desirable location.

As far as the buying of historical district trailer homes and building newer homes; I am all for it, some of those trailer homes are awfully dated, and hopefully it is done with more continuity (the "too big" house seems out of place).
You are talking about peoples "Homes".....The homes on the historic side are not trailers...trailers can be moved. These are real homes that are manufactured and put on foundations.

District Manager agrees, the Developer is buying properties with the intent of constructing site built homes.

I can see the Developer buying up some of the older manufacture homes and replacing them with stick built homes.

I have always liked the "lay of the land" on the Historical side of TV. Reminds me of my childhood growing up in Southern Illinois with real hills and such.
