As for Bands or D.J's, for me who LOVES music and dancing, it doesn't make any difference, music is music. The problem seems to be, peeps want most of the music to be line dancing music, (to me that's selfish). There are a lot of dances besides Line Dancing. Just my opinion. :-)

I saw Scooter once on the LPP and twice in the year we've been here and the music and the act is the same. Come to think of it, Uncle Bob's and Rocky plays the same songs act after act. I would imagine that there are so many people here now, it doesn't matter; same song, second verse will still bring them in.

Can someone post where they saw this? For those that don't already know. Every Friday is DJ night at Spanish Springs. The others squares don't have DJs as often. Is it possible they are just going to discontinue having a DJ every Friday?

In my opinion, there will be a subtle change in music over the next few years. As a newer demographic continues to move in to TV, there will be a switch from 40s, 50s and 60s music to more 60s, 70s and eighties. I would imagine that will continue until we start hearing Drake, Beyonc�, Grande and Adele being performed by bands as opposed to DJs. A sixty year old now was just 18 in 1974 and when I turned 18, music took another turn. Good? Bad? it's all relevant.

Some of the dj's can be done away with. But Scooter is great and has a lot of audience participation and is very entertaining. It would be a shame not to have such great entertainment and some one so popular with the residents. Maybe they should go around and see who draws a crowd and who doesn't and not just arbitrarily cut out all DJs

The Villages Entertainment told me that Scooter the DJ will always provide entertainment in the squares because they consider him "Entertainment;" not just a DJ.
