I used Home Audio & Video Sales to install my attic antenna. Nice guy. He charged $250.
U need a strong antenna, good for 65 miles. It's pointed 114* to Orlando & Sanford.
I get about 65 channels, but eliminated about 35. Spanish , religious, internet sales.
I get NBC, ABC, CBS. PBS +.
The antenna that was used is around $100 & the amplifier is about $35. U could do it yourself. U can come to my place & see the installation + view the channels that I receive.

I live in block CYV, with tv cable connections in front room on the inner wall nearly impossible to feed tv antenna wires down that wall through low slanted roof. Guess I stuck with cable ripoff scheme. I could hang antenna above south side wall and run wire through window, then move the tv to other side. But the antenna would be seem by neighborhood and I sure someone would complain?

Antennas are more attractive then they use to be. I live near Collier and I haven't done a count but about half have one.

I was going to cut the cables going to the bedrooms in the attic and attach them to an amplifier after the antenna.

They might complain, but neither they nor The Villages can prevent you from putting one up. OTA antennas are protected under Federal Law.

pick the cable up in the low voltage panel in the garage or the cable will come up to the attic and you can connect in there.

Whether or not they are "Federally protected" as someone suggests, I would still get confirmation from the the developer prior to hanging anything on the exterior of your home......just takes a moment to call and have total peace of mind......

Without really seeing what your situation looks like it's hard to say. I used an antenna for the first yr. I was here & I put my antenna in my attic because I was told that we were not allowed to have antenna's on the outside of our houses, but now I see by driving up & down the streets there's lot of antenna's on houses. I used an antenna the 1st yr. here because I never watched to much TV because I was to busy doing everything else. Now I have Spectrum & I started out with a bill of under $100. with TV & internet service, now it just went up for the 7th time to $160. Now I'm really considering on finding something cheaper, or back to my antenna. Sorry, I'm getting off the subject. What you want to do doesn't sound like it'll hurt a thing but don't ask a TV technician because I'm sure they'll tell you something else to get you to spend money for them to do it there way. He's right. Federal law also allows clothes lines. I have one. Villages watch came around. I showed them the federal law saying I can LEGALLY have one and they left. TV antennas are allowed by federal law. Google it and print it out.

I installed a WA 2608 antenna - just like the ones I see on many houses here in Silver Lake. I had it up 18 feet up and reception was very intermittent - could not get Channel 9 during the day. Was going to try the 8008 antenna but instead raised my 2608 another 6 feet...What a difference. Picture cable quality and Channel 9 perfect... The pole I use is chain link fence top rail -10 foot sections. Chuck at 641 Rainbow Blvd.

If i was you i may use PVC schedule 80.
