Star of the new Villages TV commercial:

"I'm not only a charter member of the Morse family fan club, I'm the president!"

Balls, fins and snorkels are not on the allowed list either. I had trouble with this one because the sports pools are designed for water volleyball. Pools in TV are (except for two) too shallow for shallow water aerobics for those over 5'5". Had we known this, we might have landed elsewhere.
Do they expect instructors to put in their own pools to practice with resistance and floaty toys?

I think there should be some flexibility for the gentleman who wants to float (and stretch). I would stop by the rec center office and ask if there is a quiet time when you could use your float device. Perhaps you can use it in a lane or two with a friend. This is not peak season.

I so agree about floats. Sure would be nice to lay on a float and relax. My gripe is the darn people that walk back and forth in the pool for exercise and get snippy with you if your in their way. These folks should go to a sport pool that has lanes for such a thing.
Just my opinion.

The rec centers will not do that because everyone will expect exceptions.

The sports pools are busy with volley ball, water aerobics and lap swimming a large portion of the day.

Yes residents pay for country club pool use, they are NOT part of the amenity fees. Your amenity fees have NOTHING to do with the country clubs, they are owned and run by the developer. Has been that way for the 10 years I have been here. BTW the resident DO NOT pay for every drop of water used. Businesses pay for their own water use.

Do you have a problem with people, fellow Americans from the NE?

Not being a civil engineer or a highly successful developer, I will bow to the perceived expertise of some and ask: Just how many pools are enough???? Just how much is "a lot of money" since most of us pay about $160/ month amenity fee? And just WHAT was "the Morse family" supposed to pay for?

When I go to the grocery store, I pay for the entire cart and Publix pays nothing---in fact, they MAKE MONEY (mortal sin) on my purchase. Get it?

Please calm down.
If new or junior home owners don’t ask about what the rules are how do you ever expect us to understand the rules in this community. I would expect platinum or sage Villagers would be wise and all knowing and willing to take newbies under their wing.

Share your knowledge and explain the ropes.
