It is a privilege for golf carts to share the road with the cars Period and Carts don't have the right of way.
This is all i am saying PERIOD.
I do not speed and always do the speed limit of 30 or 35 depending on where you are driving.
And Slamming on your brakes is a must when some idiot merges over without any warning.
Including when some golfer isn't patient enough to get across the road to get to the next hole.
There has even been security help a crossing area during heavy times or when there are gate problems to keep golf carts from being hit.
Just talk to the security gate folks and see if the drivers are the problem or inpatient golf cart drivers.
Get a grip golfers the hole isn't going anywhere![/QUOTE]

Well, not all cart drivers are golfer's..............
Sorry you are correct!

Happens all the time. The guards are about as worthless as the community watch folks. Best bet is to just be careful and be suspect.h

They really are not guards at all, and don't pose as guards. And I actually find them to be helpful and friendly. Think of them as "entry ambassadors." They have no authority and put up with all matter of insults from the same people who probably abuse golf course ambassadors- who also have no authority and put up with all matter of insults. Have a nice day! [emoji41]

referring back to the OP's post. The fact of the matter is that every driver has an obligation. I am not picking the fly p---p out of the pepper when I see this. for example at a four way intersection you are given the green light you still have an obligation to proceed with caution looking peripherally in both direction before proceeding. for simplicity sake if an accident occurs its usually the guy who ran the red light fault for a number of reasons. In law its called the "last clear chance doctrine" No I am not a lawyer but I think like one I'd be honored to handle your claim

dbussone: I agree with you 99.99999% of the time but red/green lights at the most active gates may not work.
You are describing what they use in Minneapolis called metered ramps and it what occurs is selfish drivers don't seem to care to wait for their turn so since its just a "light they blow right through the red light creating chaos

So true! But I did think twoplanekid had a great idea with the Christmas tree lights used for drag racing. Oh well. I seem to have earned the Rubicon Seal of Approval.

When I started this post, it was simply to ask the attendants to wait to open the guest gate until the resident has safely cleared the gate. It is still my request. Remember, lots and lots and lots of villagers think stop signs are a suggestion, not a necessity. Remember, some of the people using either gate think it is their turn. The attendants have as much or as little power as they wish. They have the button and the stop sign.

Who are you asking?

You are trying to do a good thing. However I have to agree with the poster who said that this place is dangerous to drive. It has the most unexpected driving and sometimes the worst driving I have seen. Drive defensively, say your prayers and keep up with your insurance. Many nice people are out to get us. And a few selfish, mean ones and a few who should stop driving. Yes I said that.
