"Stankin' hot" here in OH as well
And I was thinking of getting a summer place around Waynesville (Caesar's Creek) to stay cool in the summers. Notice it's 98 degrees there today though! Oh well, so much for carefully laid plans.

We had a screened in porch. My dad would take the chaise, my Mom the vinyl "couch" and I got to put some pillows on the floor! It was heaven!!
FYI- I was married in Winnetka, IL in August. No AC in church, and my reception was in an old mansion in the ballroom. Also not air conditioned. The outdoor temp on that day was 102... They had a swamp cooler in the ballroom though and it helped. I did feel so sorry for the band....

I'm in the Liberty area this month Ed. It is a scorcher! Way too early for these temperatures here! Plus rain is scarce. Feel sorry for the farmers, gardeners, and kids playing sports!

Reminds me of when Johnny Carson moved his show to California and the temps were 100+. He said that everyone keeps telling him "but it's dry heat" His answer was "So is a pizza oven".

Dinner outside here this evening in OH. One of my favorites - "Fried Eggs on Blacktop"...............

Temp touched 100 earlier this afternoon. But given the humidity levels aren't too high (in the 30s), it wasn't as uncomfortable as one would think.

Still..........it's hot!

Yum! Goes good with road kill of the day!

Tip: Fry those eggs on the hood of your car so you don't have to bend over and not be able to stand up later.

Default Humid!

Were sitting in a 3k sq ft rental that has no central Air. Temps going near 90+ again with the high humidity.

And I'm still hearing. " Your moving to Florida , It's to Hot" Somehow the constant breeze in TV and the pool in Tamarind Grove and a home with AC dosent seem so bad tight now

The Villages is a great place to be in the Winter - we enjoy it very much. But as soon as Spring arrives, it can't compare to the more northern parts of the USA. Yes, we have high temperatues and humidity on occasion (just like The Villages in the Summer). However, the dramatic change in the season rewards us with an abundance of flowers, new growth, and a lush environment that The Villages and Florida lacks. The golf courses are spectacular (far better than at any time in The Villages) and we get the occasional breaks between the heat waves. It is great to live in a country where you can travel to experience the best conditions at any time of the year.
