If you are so worried about covid, you should not have anyone in your house.

Any time I have work done I make sure the AC is high , plenty of cold water and a bath room available. I make a pot of coffee and muffins. If they are there at lunch I ask if they would like a sandwich. And I don't look down on immigrants.

Medications instructions say to "Store in a cool dry place". In our home, the guest bathroom is the drier of the two bathrooms with showers being taken all the time in the master bathroom. We have always stored medications in the guest bathroom medicine cabinet. No worries about humidity in there.

One, did you just pick up these workers on a street corner or go through a reputable company? Two, if you went through a company did you request that the workers wear masks and state no bathroom use before they started? Finally, I would let them use my bathroom as a common curtesy to them.

Contractors should not be using the pool restrooms all the time. These are for village residents use while swimming. Now they are so nasty that no one wants to go in them. Might as well be at a roadside gas station restroom. Ever think about why the floors are always wet? Not pool water.

What if they would of assaulted you and rob you of all your valuables? If that is your thinking then don't let anyone inside your home. Problem solved!

question for you.. what would've you done a year ago .. Covid19 has destroyed normal thinking.. when the workers leave clean the bathroom.. and other areas of construction, as for a mask.. forget it..

Are you kidding? You have people working in your home and you refuse to let them use the bathroom? I would have walked out.

I do a lot of work in The Villages and normally go all day without the need to use the bathroom BUT I did once or twice.
If a customer I was working for told me to go across the street an use the pool, I'd be packing my tools and that would be the last they saw of me.

So do you EVER use a public restroom? If you're out for a long time and can't wait?

I think your problem may be something other than COVID-concerned. It seems extremely rude to deny a bathroom request to someone YOU invited into your home.

But that's just my opinion, which you asked for.

I definitely would not have allowed them to use my bathroom. But then, I would have told them they could not enter the house without masks on, and to please be aware that my bathroom was off-limits and I hoped they wouldn’t mind using the one near the pool. Letting them know upfront would have taken away some of the discomfort afterwards.

COVID-19 has been found in fecal matter. It can contaminate everything you have in the bathroom, not just the toilet area, and they have shown that getting contamination from breathing it in can be a concern for at least 14 minutes.

I just wouldn’t have taken that chance, especially if I were to be having a surgery soon.
Stay safe, and good luck on your surgery.

Agree. And if your health is in a compromised place right now, it would have been acceptable to ask about masks before hiring them.I questioned my hair stylist about her procedures, cleaning and mask wearing before even going. No one gets annoyed with the questions. Its a different world today
