Saturday Cathy and I went by your house to check things out. We were parked in front and heard what sounded like a leaf blower so we went outside and walked to the other side of the street to check out the back side of our lot when from behind your house comes this radio controlled Heli-gyro flying thingie. It was very low and hovering over the ole Camaro when it jumped towards us a little and then took off towards your house, just missing the roof by a few feet and crashed in the lot in back of your house. A man and a woman ran out there and picked up the pieces, threw everything into their SUV, and took off. I DID NOT SHOOT IT DOWN but the thought ran through my mind. I guess we'll have to install a bank of surface to air's in here.

It's cold and I'm hungry. Please bring donuts and some Corona. (no lime) And please don't let Hotrod & the Mayor turn Rosie, Sweetie, and Gracie loose on me. I think I can out run Millie
Donuts and Brown Ale on the way, completely out of Corona!

Don't you and Lady A4 worry, we'll catch 'im!

Good for them. That's 3 of us within 2 blocks of each other in Gilchrist with a Zinnia. After breakfast we ajourned to Gilchrist 210 Lot 117 to admire the lot and their view out the back. WOW !! And then the street party started as half the people on this thread started showing up. So we've got a couple of new GREAT Gilly's.

Good luck tomorrow Bobby & Susie. Tell them what you want and I'll bet you get it
That's awesome! Checked the map...your new friends are just 2 houses down from us! Directly next to us is a Zinnia also...should have named Village of Gilchrist "Village of Zinnias" instead!

Four women in the house! no wonder the poor man looked bemused, it wasn't the TP comment at all.

Just to put the record straight, Ed wasn't the one caught unloading 482 multiple packs (ok, I may have exagerated a little) of TP - you were, but now the panic is over and you have come up with a legitimate excuse, you are forgiven for starting it.

Guys we have a sturdy male here who needs all our support, although we love them to bits, having FOUR running rings around you must be a truly tramatic experience that probably has a lasting effect.

Gather around Gillymen and put your thinking caps on - what can we do to help him overcome the experience and put him back on an even keel ? - any ideas?

The party was in the driveway of the house between you and Bogo2128. We tried to get in the house but it was being cleaned for delivery and closing tomorrow. The crew told us that if we weren't the owners we couldn't come in. So there we are, about 8 of us, partying in the driveway, when OMG the owner pulls up. Ron & Sue Fisch. Nice people and they took the ladies in for a tour. You've got some great neighbors Calc.

I totally agree that the appointment of HotRod to assist in the photography was a masterful stroke on the part of the Mayor! She's a gem!! As far as Gracie inaugurating your home please be advised that I will take her on an "approval tour" tomorrow after the workers have left although I'm sure that she will approve of the dwelling as it appears that it is just smashing!!!

I can't wait for you guys to get down here. The responsibilities that the Mayor, Administrative Dept, Budget Dept and Photography Dept are shouldering are just becoming innumerable...

First suspicions centred around Jimbo2012, but when confronted, his shoe size didn't fit and he had a cast iron alibi, his wife! who confessed to wanting to drop him in it, but in this case, just couldn't

The whole of Gillyland has been mobilised and if this mysterious stranger is seen lurking around the neighbourhood again, either the Mayor or his Head of Administration should be contacted immediately.
I am rather suspicious that we have a Florida version of Bigfoot lurking in our midst. I'm considering setting up a trail camera like the hunters use to catch the culprit. It's the least we can do for our friend and comrade, A-4.

The Mayor solemnly promises that all of the resources of GillyLand will be put to work to solve this mystery!!!

Oh me, oh my....I foresee a lot of fun coming as a result of the Great TP scandal on Amherst Drive. We have soooo many fertile imaginations in this community. I can't wait until you guys get back!!!

As for women and toilet paper...that's a mystery that no man will be able to solve.

I think we're going to have to rally around the poor fellow (and Cooper) and have a guys night out with a shot of testosterone, some alcohol and plenty of telling of lies. The specific location may take some thought! We have to include Cooper, the poor boy.

I have to agree with Kitty, those oak trees may be pretty to look at from a distance but not on your property if you can avoid. We had one in our first house in Hemingway and requested during our design to not have one is Sanibel. They honored our wishes It is cold in upstate NY (in the teens)and going to be all week. No snow right now to speak of but could have a foot be Friday. I just made our reservations for our next trip down, we won't be there until May 3rd. I am sure there will be many more homes up by then. Sounds like more great friends to meet. Who knows if Rich gets too antsy, I never know he will come home and will be ready to take a long drive down. February might be a good month. Hate to have a house sitting in the sunshine when we are up here wrapped in afghans. Have fun And take care everyone!

Live oaks not on your property are magnificent. On your property: tiny unrakable leaves, millions of acorns, moss drippings, squrrels eating the acorns, eventually limbs thru the house. I think my designer successfully decined the live oak for my property. Lucky me there are a couple of these lovable trees around the pond in view of my property, which was the first thing that made me really want the lot.. BUT they were not on my property where I had to deal with them daily.

Funny you mention an oak, Kitty. Carol and I have a couple on the golf course we'd like to remove by our lots. Ugliest trees we've ever seen.

Dave may wear a size 13 shoe, but says it wasn't him.

I know everyone is kind of looking at ME as the culprit who has been wandering around on lots with cans of red spray paint , shooting down flying objects , but it’s not me . I wear size 12 shoes
