At the Driveway Party this evening several people mentioned that they would like to do a neighborhood golf outing. I also talked to one of our neighbors who had a lead on how all of us might be able golf together. I'd like to propose the formation of a GillyLand Golf Team (so to speak) that includes both men & women (I'm sure that many women play much better than I do). I'd also like for the foursomes to rotate so that we get to meet each other and play rounds with different neighbors.

If it is, indeed, possible for all of us to play at one location at one time I'd like to know who would be interested in getting in on the proposal and what day you'd like to see us play (at least in the beginning). Now, let me mention one thing...if you're a good golfer and competitive this might not be the perfect match for you. If, on the other hand, you don't mind playing with beginners and don't have a temper but just want to have a good time, please let me know and I'll have Junction29 (Head of the Administrative Dept) start coordinating. Seriously, just let me know if you're interested (names, contact info & day you'd like to play) and I'll start a list. When I get the info about group play I'll try to get something together.

Oh yea...one more thing. If anyone would like to spearhead this endeavor please let me know and I'll hook you up!

Hi, this is Bill Lasher in Massachusetts. (2927 Euclid Terrace) I've played golf a few times in my life and really stink at it. But I'd love to join a socially oriented group of mixed abilities. We'll be there for the latter half of May and most of June, but then not until December. (We're on the Spreadsheet) So count me in.

Mr. Mayor… I would like to be a part of the golf group, if only to give the others a good laugh. (However some might cry after seeing what I can do on the golf course.) I’m a beginner but played a little before we moved here. Never got a birdie, but did have a bad experience with a squirrel once. Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and some Sundays work for me.

We are almost ready, we are taking the last lesson tomorrow and then the Pro says we just need another 2 years of practise (at the rate we have developed in Golfing Skill over the last week) and we will be ready for a real game.

We are not sure if they were joking or not!
