I am really not interested in a radical anti Muslim person. I am interested in radical Muslims who plotted an "imminent attack" on the United States. Did you hear what President Obama said ?????

I will say this again. If you don't stand against wrong. It will overtake you.

I have not seen these so called "Anti-Islamic" ads.
But I will say this: facts are neither anti- nor pro- anything. The truth is simply the truth. The picture of James Foley with his executioner is real. The be headings actually happened.
Draw your own conclusions.

For once I agree with you. Especially the wars/economics issue.

Watching the Roosevelt series brought insight that I had not had before about war and the national economy..

I don't have the stomach for war, but they did, and we are still here. What would have happened if Hitler would have continued unopposed?

I think that this country will fail because of a lack of gumption and because we don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, or pay the bills.

There is nothing wrong with paying the bills.

Wars are lost and won and fought because of things like oil. That is reality.

And staying in the black eonomically is something we must do to survive as a country.

Of course oil and energy is important. Let the pipeline come through and level the playing field.

For now. But what we should be doing is finding a viable alternative energy source and eliminate the playing field altogether.

I agree. We need to have the hot dogs ready so we don't starve and work hard for the roast beef.

Okay, good. But let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater. We have yet to find anything that will substantially replace fossil fuels. And many of the alternatives that we have found have their own problems regarding the environment.

Solar energy has the least impact but is only good when the sun is shining. (Even in Florida it can be cloudy for several days at a time.) Electric cars have to be plugged in to get energy derived from fossil fuels. Wind energy kills birds and bats.

What happened to energy derived from ocean currents? They've been working on it for a long time but no word on that yet.

My point: Let's not punish the use of fossil fuels until we have something substantial to replace them with. We get affordable home-energy here in central Florida because of coal, oil and gas.

I'm not off topic, I'm just commenting on something that has already been said.

That's why I said viable alternative. And mainly I was talking about replacement for gasoline in our cars in response to Gracie's comment about the pipeline. We stop working seriously on that every time we find another source of oil. Again, viable. Not something that creates more problems than it solves.

Tesla is building a five billion dollar plant in Reno to mass produce batteries making electric cars affordable. Tesla has figured out how to make them fast and also go as far as a tank of gas on a charge. Panasonic has also bought into this.

Muslim Population in Europe
Hi Chi Town: I secured the information from a you tube video sent to me e-mail but apparently I deleted it and can't confirm or deny. So I defer to your stats. However regardless of the population stats Muslims were marching and demanding Sharia Law. My apology if I misdirected information it was not my intent

If they want Sharia Law either work through the courts or go somewhere that has it. Sharia Law is so far from our fundamental beliefs and rights that those pushing it here are beyond assimilation into our society.
