my first car when I was 16 was a '66 mustang fastback, 289, 4-speed. Paid just over $1600 for it in 1969. Those were the days!

drove the new mustangs when they first came out & there was one silly thing that would prevent me from buying one: the headrests angle forward & hit me smack in the back of the head.....and couldn't seem to adjust it in any way so it wouldn't. Couldn't tolerate that.

The headrest angle is not limited to the Mustang. I have a Ford 2006 F-150 and a 2010 Toyota Camry and have that issue in both. I like the some upper back support when driving and if I adjust the seat to achieve that the headrest is against the back of my head pushing it forward. The only thing I can do is tilt the seat back back and along with no upper back / shoulder support I look like I am trying to drive sitting in the back seat. It also makes viewing the road more difficult in the Camry. I asked the dealer about it and was told it was a federal design spec. Makes me wonder if someone from the hood wrote that spec.

My wife has a 2012 Ford Flex, but the head restraints do adjust forward and back, so they can be adjusted to your build.

In some cars you can pull out the head rest and turn them around facing backward. The kind I'm talking about has the headrest on posts. That would give some support in case of crash but keep them out of the way for other usage.

I tried the 180 in both the car and truck with no luck as the head rest was too far back. Also if ever I was rear ended and did have a whiplash claim the insurance companies would take one look at the headrest and not pay a thing.

My old 1988 Benz had automatic head rests that could be set in almost any position and reset via the set position memory control that was activated with the push of a button.

Agreed. At least go for the V-8. A Mustang with a 6 is like a kiss without a squeeze.

I did drive the 2013 V-6 and it does have plently of power. But have plans to purchase the 2014 convertible V- 6 for my retirement car, check it out on line, its also a great looking car. Its going to be fun driving it, in the villages next year!

My initial impression of Key Scales was bad.. In fact I thought I'd been cheated...Upon further investigation I learned that it was me that was incorrect and they in fact had been very honest. I was apologetic and even bought a 13...v6 mustang convertible from them..They went out of their way to please me and my wife... I have now bought two cars from them and both experiences were great....Love that Mustang...Beautiful ride and fast for a 6...
