Grab a burger and watch Sarasota holes 2 and 3. More entertaining. ESPN plus has the nerve to charge for extra golf. The feature group was Werensky and two other unknowns. No thanks

Good for Tiger Woods turning it down.

None of them are. There have been many leagues in other sports that have popped up and tried to compete with the major leagues. Remember the World Hockey League, USFL, The ABA and the XFL. They all fail because they didn’t have the best players. They lured a few great players away with big money and filled in with a mostly minor leaguers. The same thing with will happen to the LIV Tour.

Sooner or later, the money to support this league will have to come from somewhere. The Saudis have plenty, but with no network TV, few sponsors and huge payouts, it has to start generating some income to keep going. I've watched some of the streamed events online, and find them silly, forced and boring. The players don't even seem to care, having been handed a big signing bonus and a guaranteed paycheck for 3 days of golf. The caddies' expenses are even covered by LIV. Shotgun format, silly team names and rock music playing throughout the event. More like an exhibition for young folks rather than a meaningful golf match with a title you can brag about.

Will be ineteresting. LIV does not appear to have a real biz plan, especially with the absurd front end money. Can't imagine people from the US watching tournaments in the Far East. Look at attendance at DJT's home course. Could not sell tickets even though they were 1+/- hours from NYC.

Too bad for you. My spouse and I thoroughly enjoyed watching that tournament but we don’t have discrimination on our agenda. What we witnessed was three young golfers playing their hearts out and the fruits of their hard work and diligence to the game of golf. There is much to be learned from their poise and dedication. Not once did we witness the flailing of arms after a poor putt as so many do now. It was a classy performance and some of those putts were really something to see.

I'm glad I was sitting when I read the post. Who would ever think someone would plant their dead, first ex-wife on their golf course for all of the right-offs. I sure didn't see that coming.

I just checked out day 1 of the LIV Golf Boston event. Beautiful weather, great course about an hour from Boston although very hilly and tough for some fans to walk.

Shotgun start, all 48 players on the course at once. I don't have much to compare it to. My only other Pro Golf event was Arnies tournament at Bay Hill back when they confiscated cell phones.

It seemed like a "big" crowd tho no way was it near a PGA tournament crowd. Pretty easy to get near the players and the greens.

I was about 15 yards away from the pin on #2 when Matt Wolfe had a hole in one. I was video'ing the shot and saw it go in but my phone wasn't on the hole yet. #Fail

Add that to the triple play I saw in Kansas City on a night when Rush Limbaugh threw out the first pitch to rare sports events I've witnessed.

The event had a nice low key feel to it. Major league golf and a few major league WAGs as a bonus.

I made great time on the drive back to Boston since every State Trooper on the force was working some kind of detail at this tournament. No chance of any speed traps on the highways today.

There is something in this world for everyone. If this tickles your fancy, enjoy.

Yes, very odd that someone would enjoy watching Dustin Johnson, Cam Smith. Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepke, Sergio Garcia, Martin Kaymer. Lee Westwood, Pat Perez and others play golf as I did over just a few holes.

It's a strange world.

Why do you find it odd? It’s your thing, do it. Probably odder that you’re trying to explain yourself to everyone. Go do “your thing”, why would you care if people approve?
