Well, i've just discovered that she is the spokesperson for greenpeace, an organization to which i've contributed over the years.

I've just mailed a letter requesting they remove my name from their mailing list, as i will no longer be a contributor to an organization that has a traitor as their spokesperson.

Just putting in my two cents and fyi for those interested.
thank you!

Naive, I suppose, but she was still a traitor and should have been charged as such.

“It happened on my last day in Hanoi…The translator told me that the soldiers wanted to sing me a song… The soldiers asked me to sing for them in return…I memorized a song called Day Ma Di, written by anti-war South Vietnamese students. I knew I was slaughtering it, but everyone seemed delighted that I was making the attempt. I finished. Everyone was laughing and clapping, including me… someone (I don’t remember who) led me towards the gun, and I sat down, still laughing, still applauding. It all had nothing to do with where I was sitting. I hardly even thought about where I was sitting. The cameras flashed…

It is possible that it was a set up, that the Vietnamese had it all planned. I will never know. But if they did I can’t blame them. The buck stops here. If I was used, I allowed it to happen. It was my mistake and I have paid and continue to pay a heavy price for it… I have apologized numerous times for any pain I may have caused servicemen and their families because of this photograph. It was never my intention to cause harm.”
Are you suggesting that she meant no harm, and that she was just STUPID? How many of our celebrities visit the enemy in our wars and cavort with them in front of POWs? Sorry, but most Americans are NOT stupid enough to believe anything she has to say.

I have not been to ANY movies where she was a star.

As the widow of a Vietnam soldier KIA 1966, I never felt Jane did harm. She spoke up against the US getting involved in an ill fated war we had no business in. She was right. We lost the war and lost blood and treasure for no reason.

Green Peace was labeled a terrorist organization years ago. I can see where she would find comfort in associating with the like minded.

Jane is always fighting for what is best for the country and it's about time we all appreciate those that put their mouths (and money) where it actually counts. Cutting off one's nose to spite one's face with regard to a donation to Greenpeace is ridiculous.

Is it your intention now to start a dual of shadow boxes? Gimme a break.

That’s awful to say that

An award winning documentary of the war, in detail.
That film was a disgrace and an insult to Vietnam Vets!
