Who said 20 times made her trashy? I said knowingly fooling around with a married man with young children made her trashy, IN MY OPINION. KateZ said maybe she made a mistake, or it was a one time thing, and I just pointed out that wasn't the case. The woman in question admitted the 20 times. If you and Kate think she's something other than trashy you are welcome to YOUR OPINION.

I am more of the belief that talking about "sleeping with him" 20 times is what may have made her trashy....

I always want to believe in a person's inherent goodness... and how easy it is to be swept away by strong emotions - whether you call it lust or love or great sex. I am far more willing to sympathize with that than I am of someone looking for 15 minutes of fame...

I also think because someone said she slept with Tiger Woods 20 times doesn't make it a fact... I have read little of the media coverage on this because, like Russ, I admire Tiger's golf game. I would like to say I slept with Liam Neeson 20 times (before marriage to Mr. Katezbox, of course) - but I couldn't pull off a story that incredible even here....

Lastly, I just dislike the description "trashy woman." It seems to put the responsibility all on one party and not the other. ...and it's never really that simple.

Default New theory

Wow... this thread could trump the Sarah thread.

Anyway.... If you read the today released police reports of the neighbors who were 1st on the scene of the accident. No broken car windows, no golf clubs, no Elin.... Tiger confused, "snoring", asking for help.

My new guess: Elin confronts Tiger earlier Thanksgiving night (Tiger's mom and Elin's mom are in the house). Tiger and Elin retreat to their bedroom,,,, she slaps him damn hard across the chops. He takes an Ambien or two so he can go to sleep...Uh Oh... confused, somnolent (a COMMON Ambien rx) Tiger ends up behind the wheel of the car and barely makes it outta the driveway... CRASH.

I wish I was better at figuring out what possesses a man with a stunning wife and two beautiful children and the entire world at his fingertips to screw (no pun intended) it up for a roll on the hay!? I gotta go back and read Genesis.

Default Very sad indeed. He was naive to think he wouldn't be discovered.

Tiger is the only child of his parents marriage and in essence the ONLY child, although he had older step siblings. He was the center of his fathers' intense attention, direction, even badgering and was the "victim" of the "coach's kid syndrome". He is obviously a perfectionist. Anyone can see that he would NOT be a good poker player, his face betrays him. He is quick to look frustrated when he fails, misses a putt, etc. AND he doesn't fail very often. He is obviously a private person. He shields his family from the spotlight more than other great golfers have done.

The enormous embarrassment of this situation could very well lead him to awful unrelenting depression and worse.

Sweetie and I were saying that the mistakes we have made in our life did not have to be witnessed by the world.

He is not a "whatever" personality. I hope he makes it through this.

AND do I have guts or what to follow a psychiatrists' post with MY personal views on Tigers mental state.??

very, very, insightful thoughts on this mess... I've spent 34 years dealing with peoples emotional and mental struggles. I will go to my grave trying to figure out what posesses a person to destroy everything for sex. I have felt for years that sex becomes like a drug for some... like cocaine.... they keep going back for another and another and another hit.... meanwhile, they leave behind in their wake destroyed credibility, destroyed reputation and career, destroyed finances, destroyed marriage, destroyed children... and they still don't stop.
A GREAT read is the book "Private Lies" "The betrayal of intimacy" by Dr Frank Pittman from Emory Univ in Atlanta. Tiger's probably reading it right now. BTW.... Pitman's follow-up book is entitled... "Grow-Up"!. Everyone should read it.

Thanks for the insight Doc.

I don't particularly like the term 'sexual addiction' but I think we may end up hearing it in this case. The insight you bring from your practice leads me to believe there may be a place for that.

Default I know. I am WAY too interested in this but...

Now AOL is saying that seven women claim to have had a sexual relationship with Tiger Woods. It seems to be very opportunistic on their part because how would he have had time to play golf is this were all true.

What is amusing is the image I used to have of Tiger Woods was of an upstanding family man.

One cannot forget how magnetic celebrities are to certain women. Just think about Wilt Chamberlain. Of course, Chamberlain seemed to flaunt his conquests.

Woods must have been as good about hiding his affairs as he is at putting golf balls into holes.

7-8-9-10---> in any case he sounds like a horney toad to me... wonder how he stayed focused on golf with his testosterone in overdrive like that.

Nope.... but The Golf Channel web site now has a "witness" who claims Tiger was drinking "earlier" in the day.... (could be as innocent as wine with Thanksgiving dinner).... AND he was on Ambien (see my earlier post) and Vicodin. Ambien +Alcohol= catastrophe... every time.

I can't imagine Elin can remain under the same roof with him much longer.
