Default Not Guilty

Not Guilty on all counts if based on Florida law and emotions and sympathy removed.

With the amount of time that has passed I'm thinking you may be right. For the life of me I can't imagine not having "reasonable doubt".

The focus has been derailed away from whether there is "reasonable doubt" and onto whose fault it was that the incident happened, which is not to be the determining factor.

There is plenty of reasonable doubt regardless of which side you favor.

Well, looks like I'm wrong, it doesn't take this long to get fapitz'd.

Has anyone else heard that the jurors were NOT told what the sentencing would be if they chose manslaughter or 2nd degree murder?

One sentence is 25 years to life and the other is 15 to 35 years????
I might have that reversed.........

With the jury being out so long..........and the "anchors" saying they saw tears in the eyes of the jurors while the "closer" was giving the final statement............I now wonder. Ten hours now of deliberation.

There's one juror who's been on 2 or 3 jurys in Orange & Seminole Counties in the past, I'm sure she knows what the sentencing for manslaughter is in Fl. She has probably already told the rest of the jurors of this fact. Plus, there's 2 other jurors have members of their families that are lawyers, so they probably also knew this.

Default No terms with sentencing

If the verdict comes back manslaughter, in which case this is the lessor charge, the jury doesn't know the hefty sentence that goes with it. I think the jurors should know what the sentence could be with each verdict. They may think they will give him a lessor sentence when in fact the punishment is about the same for manslaughter and murder 2. If in fact he is found guilty, I think either sentence is way too much of a punishment. Maybe 3 years in prison with parole afterwords? I think he is not guilty, so he should be able to continue with his life.....such that it will be. I think he has been punished enough.

This seems so basic to me. Isn't a defendant subject to conviction on the CHARGES for which he is being tried? He was not charged with "Manslaughter"!

How can the judge, who is supposed to be a "referee", insert a "charge" leading to conviction of manslaughter after hearing the strengths and weaknesses of both sides made for/against the actual charges???

This seems like a Plea Bargain deal served from the bench!!

Breaking down the charges and sentences Zimmerman is facing | www.wftv.com

Bill Schaeffer from wftv9 said yesterday that the jury would not be aware of the sentences.

Hoping for Not Guilty! Kind of worried that we are in the final hour of Day 2 and no decision

Court is back is session, and the jury has a question about manslaughter. They want further clarification on manslaughter. Stay tuned.
