You leave out that the part B deduction is really a premium, and you minimize the co-pays you pay for each office visit, plus it is an HMO.

When people do not pay, they do not recognize the cost.
Most every tax in the US is a progressive tax. We just went on medicare. Having worked hard and earned good money, we pay almost twice as much for medicare as the minimum and unlike people who pay less we do not have inflation-rising cost protection.

RE: Obamacare
Our medical care system has been a mess for a very long time. If, you PAY FOR insurance, as we did pre being qualified for medicare medicare your insurance company gets a far lower bill then you would if you CHOSE to self insure-pay your own bills. Personal experience 5 days in the villages hospital was billed 50,000 my insurance paid 30,000 and that covered the bill in full that is a 40% difference.

We read that young healthy people object to being forced to pay for obamacare. Sadly you do need to FORCE people to be responsible.
A too common occurrence. A young healthy person is hit by a car do they scream HELP or do they scream I decided not to have any insurance so just take me to the DUMP.
Nothing is free. Someone must pay to keep that hospital open to pay for all that equipment, to pay the staff AND TO PAY FOR MALPRACTICE INSURANCE.

RE: paying healthcare for illegal aliens.
That bugs me as well BUT, when you eat out perhaps the illegal working there has tuberculosis or????? Both polio and tuberculosis were virtually non existent in the United states. We have been invaded with zangi feaver, zika virus and perhaps even aids. If we choose to deny care these and other diseases will be spread by people with no medical care.

AFFORD IS A CHOICE FOR ALL. I've been poor. If, you have only .............. coming in you need to choose how you will spend WHAT YOU EARN. Perhaps, you need to use public transportation rather then buy a car. If a car is necessary, you may need to purchase a cheap car. You may need to find a place where rent is lower. Perhaps you could live and exchange lawn services for part of the rent. You may find you cannot afford cable TV, air conditioning etc etc.
I've always paid my bills. I never thought someone else should pay my bills.
CLEARLY, YOU WILL VOTE SOCIALIST DEMOCRATIC AND I WILL VOTE REPUBLICAN. .

Obama wanted a single payer system and thanks to Obamacare, it looks like he will see it. Believe me when I say that we do NOT want socialized medicine. I have been to and lived in many countries and have seen the nightmares. In those type of countries, only the rich make out in health care.
When, Bill Clinton was running for office my father voted for him because of the PROMISE of taking care of medical care. My dad was no fool. He was well read and well educated. He was a bit taken back when I said you will not get it because the CLINTONS never mentioned how they were going to pay for it.
I had a friend and a customer with family in Germany that even at that time had national healthcare> I asked him how it works. We start out with the concept of equal care for everyone. So that is mediocre care for everyone-it has to be so. He informed me that people who can do so in germany pay for private healthcare and thus get better care than the state provides. We, Obama never allowed that option in obamacare.
I've read that attorneys add 30-40% to the cost of medical care in the United States. Obama a legal professor married to an attorney never addressed capping the cost of some of these law cases.

You mention that you have private insurance so paying for medicare was a waste for you. I assume that you are not old enough to register for medicare or your plan has not copay or???? What you have said does not seem to make sense. You apparently got healthcare as an employment benefit. Just to tell you, I was self employed we paid 14,000 a year for healthcare insurance. THINK ABOUT IT AND APPRECIATE IT. You received roughly 14,000 a year TAX FREE.
THROUGHOUT HISTORY-IT HAS BEEN THE SAME AS FAR AS TAXES GO. Everyone wants and no one wants to pay.
With, as you stated private health care provided free as oart of your employment YOU likely worked in GOVERNMENT. If, I am correct-then taxes I paid not only paid for your healthcare but your income as well. Again, to remind you-everyone wants and no one wants to pay.

The posts on this thread all have some amount of truth in them but what is missing is the real root cause of problem. It is not Obamacare or Medicare, it is what we have allowed to happen to healthcare costs. In most cases it was because someone else was paying, either employer or government. A so called middle class family would have their yearly budget destroyed if they had to pay for a child's broken arm out of pocket. We have to do one or more of the following; take the obscene profit out of healthcare, ration care to those without means (as many on this forum promote), limit end of life care paid for by government, or cut back on military and non health entitlements to continue on course we are on now. IMO

Yes! Healthcare should be there for ALL people in the USA. Do you want to have illegal immigrants with communicable diseases walking among you?

If someone cannot afford healthcare, it should be provided free!

Denmark is considered the "happiest country" and they have cradle to grave healthcare - which they all like! They have free education through college, they have very low unemployment, they pay high taxes but they get great benefits.

The USA needs to emulate such a society!

Thank you.

1) By the time the "illegal aliens" with communicable disease are identified and treated, "for free (lol)", they have already spread their disease

2) Once again, I'd like to meet one liberal, just one, who actually understands that nothing is free. Redistribution is much different from free. Must all liberals be reminded of Greece. Never mind, they'll never understand.

3) Denmark has like 3 million people, we have 320 million. Some things cannot be "upsized". The main reason the Danish are "happy" is that they constantly have a blood alcohol level of 0.17

4) If YOU want to "emulate such a society", go away and emulate all you want. Leave my great country alone!!!!!

If you are on Medicare, you are paying for those services even though you don't know it. Medicare B is taken out of your Social Security, so YES you are paying for it.

Like I said, Medicare A, which you paid all your working life gives you hardly more than hospitalization. No doctor visits and no prescriptions.

Denmark ranks higher than the US in business freedom, monetary freedom, investment freedom, financial freedom, property freedom and freedom from corruption.

If Denmark were one of the US states, it would rank tenth among the poorest states for per capita GDP.

Average yearly income: 23,213 US Dollars OECD Better Life Index

Every single Scandinavian country ranks higher than the United States in suicide ratesDenmark: 11th in the world
United States: 18th in the world

Denmark has finally passed a law banning bestiality. The previous law only stipulated a ban on intercourse which harmed the animals.

I'm sure you must have meant another country that we should emulate, definitely NOT Demark.

Sorry, but I think I will stick with Good OLD AMERICA.

Well, friend, you really should start doing your own research instead of relying on previous jibber jabber from others.

First, the economic information regarding Denmark is wrong. The median family income in the USA is $54,629. In Denmark, it is $42,916. That would fall between 38 and 39 in the USA. Florida is at number 42.

Suicide rate according to the World Health Organization has Guyana at the highest suicide rate in the world at number 1. The USA is number 50 while Denmark is number 81 (a lot lower than the USA).

Finally, beastialty! It is now outlawed in Denmark as you stated. However, it is LEGAL in ELEVEN of the United States of America. (No joke although it would be too easy).

I also love the USA like you do but just want to point out there are some things done better in other countries that should be accomplished here.

Thank you.

It's a "happy" country because it's NOT full of non-whites...yet. Over 90% of the population is WHITE. THAT is what makes it a great place to live.

And MEDICAID pays for everything. Blacks get medicaid, white people, again, have to pay...

In "civilized" places you don't NEED a law for EVERYTHING. The people self-govern and you don't have the problems the less civilized need so you don't need all the laws.

The "good" places to live are ALWAYS WHITE and the sh!tholes are ALWAYS BLACK/BROWN.

WHY would any sane person want MORE blacks/browns knowing the trouble they cause?

You lie when you fight for diversity. EVERYTHING I say is true. THEY are the MAJORITY below the age of 6, their majority grows every year. Go to "their part of town" and look around. That will be EVERY part of town in 30 years. Is that what YOU want? It's what you're getting. It's a mathematical certainty.

I will shout out AGAINST diversity until the last white person turns off the lights and the country is a 3rd world shell of its former glory.

EVERYWHERE "their" numbers increases goes down the tubes...EVERYWHERE. I've been calling for the "black paradise", you know, 99% black and fun and safe like the villages...haven't had ONE reply yet. I'm trying to SAVE you from your own foolishness. STOP diversity NOW or your country is lost.

I am a racist because we are VERY different...too different to ever "live together peacefully". WHERE do we all live together in peace? I'll ask that question too. Where is the 99% place that is open and friendly to others? Where is the 99% black place that I could go and NOT feel threatened? You need to expect them to act as you expect me to act. Or it's just ANOTHER case of having to lower the standards for them.

We're not equal and the sooner we admit it, the sooner we can really fix things. It's time to stop "everyone gets a trophy" and back to only the best will do.
