FYI, I don't think "females" are intimidated by Mrs. Palin... I think they're embarassed by her.

More to this story to come, that's for sure.

Why is it that men believe we are intimadated by Sara Palin?

Default No, if she made it to Washington she would have simply

slid into the role of it never happened or would be immune to anything sasid about ANYTHING she would have done. And I will bet, of course not knowing, she would have done nothing to compare to the lechers, thieves, whore mongers, cheaters, do as I say not as I do incumbents that keep getting re-elected.

If one can drive drunk off as bridge and kill somebody and still be held in high esteem....what the else could anybody do that phases ANYBODY (with a brain!!)

Hey, how dare you talk about the highly regarded senator from Taxachusetts!!!

Yea, the infamous Chappaquiddick Bridge, in which Senator Kennedy, drunk again, attempted to cross with Mary Jo Kopechne as a passenger in his Oldsmobile. After Kennedy drove the car off the bridge and into the water...he saved himself while leaving Mary Jo to fend for herself.
He went someplace to sleep it off and neglected to teleephone authorities.
Yes he never called 911 to report the accident. Him and his lawyer spent hours trying to find the right lie to tell the police. Kennedy wanted to report that she was the driver. His lawyer talked him into finally reporting the drunken accident and telling the police that he drove.
When divers finally went down to investigate they found Mary Jo's head in a weird stretched position. It was determined that she did not die immediately after the accident. There was an air pocket that she had reached and it was estimated that she died if lack of oxygen...not by drowning.
They determined that she was breathing in the car for up to 45 minutes waiting for someone to rescue her. While Kennedy was stumbling around and looking for his lawyer she was fighting for her life. What a terrible way to die.
If there was a silver lining to this tragedy.... The drunken accident prevented the USA from being subjected to a Kennedy Presidency.
Mary Jo Kepechne was declared dead July 18, 1969. May she rest in peace.

Default If you can't stand the heat.....

The kitchen got too hot so she decided to get out of it.

Gonna sit on her porch for awhile and wave to the Russians, ya betcha!

And the dog pile continues. I'm just curious, what did she ever do to deserve to get trashed like this by the left?

Is it the simple fact she's a conservative Christian mom who happens to be a Governor? So typical of the left, the art of personal destruction. They can't just disagree on a political or policy level, they feel the need to take a person and do everything they can do destroy them.

Somewhere I heard that Conservatives had a label for being mean spirited. I don't think so scooter.

Absolutely sickening.

Just finished reading the Huffington Post article - snobbery at its finest! Reminded me of the old TV show "Frasier," when the two brothers would discuss people or situations with all the pinkie-in-the-air and down-your nose attitude befitting social-class bigots for whom style is far more important than substance.

One thing's for sure - she doesn't have a socialist agenda....

Yes, they are mean-spirited. All she did was raise a family and decided to get involved. She made it all the way to the top by taking on the big guys in Alaska. She became a respected Chief Executive of a great state. Of course, she didn't have to make the big decisions and have all the responsibility of a community organizer....

Was just having a conversation with my wife and I said that I just don't get it.

She summed it up in four simple words.

"Darkness hateth the light"

Default Does Romney Have A Chance?

I preface this question by saying that I have no intention of adding a religious twist to this already heated political discussion. But I have a question regarding Mitt Romney's chances of nomination for the 2012 election. (I suppose this question might apply to what happened to him in the 2008 primary, as well.)

Will the conservative Christian right wing accept a Mormon as "their" candidate?

I have relatives who count themselves in that category and they told me before the 2008 primary elections that they would never vote for a Mormon. They went on to say that they believed his beliefs were that of a cult, not a religion. When I asked who they would vote for, they said that if Romney was the candidate, they would withold their votes.

Is this feeling widespread, or confined only to my "single issue" relatives?

OMG I thought we worked through religious prejudice when we elected one of those evil Catholics in 1960.

"Dumber than a Stump" comes to mind. A little loose on using the authority that came with her office. Maybe just a smidget unethical with her use of public funds. Unfocused, vindictive, immature... and the list goes on. Could she grow out of it? Certainly, but it would take a lot of education and hard work. She possesses natural talent and likability. The whole package could be dynamite. As things are right now, if she decides not to run in 2012, the Dems would be very, very sad.

Perfect example. I rest my case.
