Now, that is just hilarious. Tooo Funny! She is just as bad a disgraces as Obama, and that's saying something. She has done NOTHING good or accomplished NOTHING in service to America. At the very least Trump has created thousands of jobs. I don't personally care for Trump but I would not even think twice about voting for him over Clinton (either one of them) if the only choice was between Trump and Clinton. Clinton is despicable to put it mildly. The Clintons hate the military so why would they wish to be in command of them? Nope, my wish is for her to get what should be coming to her, jail time. She deserves to go to jail for jeopardizing national security and being culpable in the Benghazi cover up of the death of our patriots. |

Nothing good? You must be living in an alternate reality. Hilary Clinton's contributions to American society as a woman are many, but the overall theme of her efforts is that she has continued to stay involved in the great issues of her time, despite setbacks and criticism of her actions. Throughout her life, she has been a strong advocate for women, children and families. As Senator she has sponsored such measures as the Best Pharmaceuticals for Children Act, to ensure the safety of prescription drugs for children; she has worked to increase provisions in the Children's Health Insurance Program, to help schools address environmental hazards; and she has introduced legislation to help recruit and retain nurses, to fight AIDS and to expand the use of medical technology.
Hilary Clinton demonstrated her committment to public service soon after becoming a lawyer. She served as head of the American Bar Association Committee on Women in the Profession. She was also Chair of the Board of the Children's Defense Fund, a national advocacy group for the interests of children, from 1986-1991. As first lady of Arkansas and of the U.S., she showed that these positions could be more than ceremonial. She headed a commission in Arkansas which expanded and reformed education throughout the state. As the U.S. First Lady, she led efforts to make adoption easier for families, to provide more money for breast cancer research and to increase health care and employment opportunities for women. She achieved worldwide recognition as the keynote speaker at the United Nations Fifth International Conference on Women, in Beijing China. Her speech on behalf of the global rights of women caused some controversy because it insisted that women should have the same basic rights, no matter where they lived and this was a new U.S. policy position. These were among the awards she received as First Lady: the Elie Wiesel Foundation Humanitarian Award; the Martin Luther King Jr. Award; Family Circle Woman Who Makes a Difference Lifetime Achievement Award; National Federation of Black Women Business Owners, Black Women of Courage Award; National Association of Elementary School Principals Distinguished Service Award; Save the Children Distinguished Service Award, The National Council for Adoption, "For advocacy on behalf of adoption"; Henrietta Szold Award, Hadassah; and the Irish American Peace Prize. As U.S. Senator, she has also been recognized for her efforts on behalf of the U.S. military. She has received the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service, United States Department of Defense and the Military Order of the Purple Heart. She is the first New York Senator to serve on the Armed Services Committee, and she was asked by the Department of Defense to serve as the only Senate member of the Transformation Advisory Group to the Joint Forces Command, in 2004. |

And I don't know who you think you are fooling, with her receiving a Purple Heart. A Purple Heart is awarded to wounded warriors for combat related injuries. What you wrote is equivalent to saying she was vice president of the college book club. Nothing to brag about, just filler for a resume'. |

Passed legislation helping families care for veterans with traumatic brain injuries or post-traumatic stress disorder. Hillary Clinton introduced the Heroes at Home Act of 2006 to help family members care for veterans that return home with post-traumatic stress disorder or traumatic brain injuries. Clinton successfully fought to include an important part of that bill — funding for community-based programs that provide readjustment and mental health assistance to National Guard members, Reservists, and their families – into the Department of Defense Appropriations bill enacted in September, 2006. With the help of the Wounded Warrior Project, the National Military Family Association, the Military Officers Association of America, and the American Academy of Neurology, Clinton introduced the Heroes at Home Act of 2007 to build on that previous work. Worked to increase the survivor benefits for military families from $12,000 to $100,000. Hillary Clinton worked with Republicans and Democrats in the U.S. Senate to try to increase the benefits to family survivors of our nation’s veterans. Clinton joined with then-Senator Chuck Hagel (R-NE) on the Military Survivor Benefit Improvement Act of 2005. Remarking on the importance of the bill, Clinton said America owes “our young men and women in uniform a tremendous debt of gratitude and they should rest assure that if something happens to them on the front lines, their families will be taken care of financially. This bill will ensure that our service members’ next-to-kin receive the benefits they deserve.” Teamed up with Republicans to expand health care for National Guard members and reservists. Hillary Clinton worked with Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) to provide full military health benefits to National Guard members and reservists. Clinton noted that she and Graham worked for four years on that mission, even though “many people thought I would never talk to Lindsey Graham, let alone work with him… So Senator Graham and I said we’re going to make sure that if you’re a National Guard or Reserve member, you will have access to health care and you’ll be part of this great American military from the very beginning. We will take care of you and your families.” Senator Graham praised Clinton’s “longstanding commitment to ensuring that members of our National Guard and Reserve and their families have access to the health care benefits they need and deserve.” Authored a new G.I. Bill of Rights to help veterans adjust and re-enter the workforce after deployment. Hillary Clinton introduced the 21st Century G.I. Bill of Rights to help veterans achieve their American dream through educational opportunities, a new veteran-specific micro-loan program, and an expanded home loan program. Clinton said she took “tremendous personal pride in the fact that the VFW has endorsed” the legislative package. Describing the new G.I. Bill of Rights, Clinton said it “provides educational opportunities – from college, to trade and technical training, to certification and licensing programs. It expands opportunities for veterans to buy, build, repair and improve their homes. It creates a Veterans Micro-loaning Program to provide loans up to $100,000 at very low interest rates and without collateral, so that veterans can start their own small businesses.” Fought to expand retirement pay and disability compensation for veterans disabled during their service. Hillary Clinton cosponsored the Retired Pay Restoration Act of 2001, 2003, 2005, and 2007. This legislation sought to expand retirement pay and disability compensation for all of America’s veterans disabled in the service of their country. Expanded the Family and Medical Leave Act to families of wounded service members. The defense authorization bill enacted in 2008 included legislation introduced by Senator Chris Dodd and Senator Clinton to allow families of wounded service members to take up to six months unpaid leave to care for their wounded family member. Clinton cosponsored similar legislation in 2003 and 2005. |

And how have the Republican candidates fared towards veterans?
Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz voted to block further action on a bill that would have enhanced benefits for veterans including guaranteeing in-state tuition rates at all public universities for post-9/11 veterans. Marco Rubio voted against providing $27 million for the Veterans Health Administration, as part of a $50.5 billion Superstorm Sandy recovery package. Ben Carson questioned whether “we even need” the VA system. |

As senator, Hillary only had three of her sponsored bills passed as law and none of them had anything to do with Veterans.
As far as the Veterans jobs act is concerned, a new bill is passed related to Veterans jobs acts EVERY time elections get close. Like every other senator, Hillary spoke a lot, but accomplished little. Only three bills passed. Not that great of a record, I think. |

Regarding the "Heroes at Home Act of 2006" that you are gushing about, yes she wrote and introduced it and can rightly take full credit for it. Unfortunately it was so badly written and flawed that no other senator would co-sponsor it. It was duly read on the floor and then referred to committee where it died. Of the 409 pieces of legislation she can rightly take credit for, only 3 made it to the Presidents desk. They are: 1. A bill to designate a portion of United States Route 20A, located in Orchard Park, New York, as the "Timothy J. Russert Highway" 2. A bill to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 2951 New York Highway 43 in Averill Park, New York, as the "Major George Quamo Post Office Building". 3. Kate Mullany National Historic Site Act She has perfected this modus operandi where she waddles around, speaking in high sounding platitudes that make people feel good but never actually does or accomplishes anything while at the same time expanding the coffers of the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation. |
