.......Bottom line - Al Gore was a HERO to the clean environment movement, which was branded by the opposition as merely misguided "hippies". ..........Today scientists know that Al Gore was right. And as we can see by the HIGH summer temperatures and record heat in world oceans.( Also reef destruction and polar melting and animal species extinction). Today we see the world environment going to "hell in a hand basket"( interesting expression) !!!!!! |

.......One could assume that since both eruptions were about the same size that they would have about equal effect on the earth temperatures. Therefore, the effect of Tonga would be equally SMALL. |

95% of all Climate Scientists say that Global Warming is man made. And if a person would look at a graph of the rapid rise of the world population in the last 25 years - they would see the direct link. Large world population equals large factory and vehicle exhaust gas pollution, which is RESPONSIBLE for OUR NOTICEABLE Climate Change in the last 5 to 15 years.

..........so I ask .....as a CONCERNED US citizen ........Is the rejection of Electric Vehicles worth the change in people's lives (toward living with more heat). And should we be MORE concerned with the northward flow of Population into the US from as far south as Venezuela ? Because more population in a 1st world country means more industrial gas and VEHICLE gas causing temperature increases. And other bad things. |

2. Assumptions are fun to make, but again, data trumps those too. First - Tonga is causing about 0.8 C (or 1.4 degree F) warming, and is expected to very slowly cool because the water vapor was sent much higher into the stratosphere than Pinatubo's ash. The stratosphere is very stable and the water vapor will linger for years. Second - Pinatubo's ash is very different than Tonga's water vapor. Ash is not only heavier, but it was lower in the atmosphere - and thus fell out faster. The water vapor is still spreading globally (vertically and horizontally). 3. All this and much more will be discussed Aug 15 at 1 PM at Bridgeport. |

One person's laugh may NOT be the same as another person's laugh. I get a large GIGGLE when I fail to see the parallel between Worldwide temperature increases caused by greater populations in 1st world countries causing more industrial and vehicle pollution. And some changes that The Earth experienced millions of years ago. (giggle, giggle)

Anyone with a KEYBOARD can type into Google - why is the Earth warming in the last 15 years - why do scientists say the Earth is warming in last 15 years.? Why is CO2 gas so small, but IMPORTANT? Why are the Coral Reefs dying? Why is Alaska breaking temperature records? Why is the Gulf of Mexico at record temperatures? Why are so many animals worldwide going extinct? Could humans go extinct due to Global Warming. Are there temperatures at which humans can't exist. Is human overpopulation a problem? Do wars and pestilence still control population (as one old philosopher believed)/ Why did Death Valley have the world's record heat recently? Google can be a friend (if one uses it)!!!!!

That gave me a GIGGLE. I am expected to list all the names of the 95% of all WORLD (as in the whole world) Climate Scientists. I would have to be an A.I. robot to do that.
