I agree, Kathy. I think these kids are under tremendous pressure and stress. It's amazing that they don't fall apart more often! I was a Colton fan all along and was shocked that the "young girl" contingent didn't keep him around longer. Just seemed to me that his style would have appealed to them more than Phillip's but that just goes to show how much I know!!

No one will ever take the play of Clay Aiken in my heart. I've seen him in concert 5 times and loved watching him on Celebrity Apprentice this season (and he SO should have won!!).

(I have to admit, I grew to really love Phil these past few weeks, especially when he did our hometown guy's song..We've Got Tonight.). This is where the cynical part comes in...they could tell us ANYTHING about the voting and we have no way of knowing what the truth is. This is all a money making business and we are fortunate enough to be able to enjoy it.
I think it would be really cynical to think there was any hanky-panky in the counting of votes.

FOX Network could never get away with it.

People are able to vote numerous times each, It depends how dedicated the fans of any contestant are. If you want to spend hours voting, you can get a lot of votes in. You can vote numerous times on the internet and numerous times o the phone.

Taylor hicks? No comparison! Love Phil Phillips. I think he will have a great career. I agree with Tyler when he said he could hear a little Paul Simon. Paul Simon, Chris Martin (Coldplay), Dave Matthews and A little Bob Seger all wrapped up into one single talent. Can't wait until he does his first CD!

Watched th finale last night, not a bad show. Liked Philips new song, dont think I will be buying it though.
I still think Holly was the best. Do you know why she sang You'll never walk alone?
It is the song that is sung in Liverpool more than any other I would think! So nice that she gave a nod to her old home town.

Philip Philips, recovering nicely from his crippling kidney ailment and subsequent surgery, will perform at his first post-Idol concert at the annual July 4th concert at the National Mall in Washington DC to be broadcast live on PBS television and NPR radio.

This is a DVR alert for fans of American Idol, and Philip Philips.

Default Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler leaving AI as judges.

This has been in the news the past few days that the two newest judges are leaving American Idol. Cannot say that I will miss these two all that much. http://www.eonline.com/news/329968/j...-american-idol

Default Like Steven Tyler

At first, when they announced Steven Tyler as a judge I thought I wouldn't like him. But after this season I think he adds the bit of unexpected to the panel. Won't miss Jlo....

lanabanana73,
I really liked Clay Aiken on Celebrity Apprentice and yes, he should have won.
When the media started talking about new judges for AI, I immediately thought about Clay's personality on Apprentice. His critiques were the best and he was so funny.

We're moving permanently to our home in Pennecamp the beginning of Nov. We'll have to meet, so we can talk about Clay.
