There's definitely a need for an indoor lap pool, due to winter cold with early darkness cutting short the few evening hours after scheduled classes, and for avoiding sun exposure with many people already having had bouts of skin cancers.

It should be a membership deal, and could be part of the Priority Pool (Country Club) Upgrade fees, as shown here:

If you think the roofed-in type pool is not needed against sun, then I assume you'll be removing the roof from your golf carts.

And if cold and rain aren't a problem for being outdoors in winter and rainy seasons, then why does everyone buy the golf cart canvas/vinyl/zipper enclosure or the curtis cab type enclosures?

Your right that's why when the Developer owned the Wellness Center he refused to do anything with the indoor pool leaving many people angry. However the upkeep was astronomical.

also bear in mind that the amenities suit filed by district 5 was dismissed and if I understand the complaint essentially our amenities are going to be stretched thinner because its fundng the bond issue which it should not have
So before residents start making demands they may want to look at our income and expense statements first

It needs to be more centrally located if they are going to do it, either that or build it at the new Rohan Rec Center that is now under construction

Carl Bell, the man who is proposing the enclosed pool, represents the Amenities Authority Committee (AAC) which only has the authority of how amenities are spent north of CR466. The AAC grew out of the $40 million dollar settlement that the developer paid. The article was unclear whether any other committee members support the enclosed pool.

The AAC would only pay to light the pickelball courts north of CR466. That is their only jurisdiction. There is a meeting at the Savannah Center on December 10, if anyone wants to suggest lighting pickelball courts.

If you are referring to the amenities suit filed by the POA Vice President and friends, Case #2014-CA-00429, it has not been dismissed, latest action was filed 10/28/2014 "PLAINTIFFS MOTION TO CHANGE STYLE OF CASE".

I got this information from the court information available on the net which turns out to be a little less than current. Today I reviewed the actual documents and "rubicon" is correct it was dismissed but I would add they have 15 days to refile. The document was dated 11/12/14.

I believe there is a need for a "therapy pool" in TV. I'm not a "real swimmer" ---five laps is enough for me. Swimmers can get their laps in 90% of the time in comfortable weather. That is about the same as golfing in comfortable weather.
