Random thoughts:
1. Mean people stink.
2, I don't let anyone rent space in my head.
3. Life it too short to be little.
4. Mean people may not feel well and just try to make some people as miserable as they are.
5. Don't seat the sweat stuff, it's all same stuff.

I wouldn't let anyone ruin my day.

I wouldn't let my boss from he** get the best of me, in that I considered a badge of honor to be able to take his cruel methods, and laugh them off. Talk about he**ish working conditions but then, I would have to catch myself to remember he was totally ignorant of computer technology and was totally over his head in his ability to manage people.

I'm sure your DIL will get a better job that suits her abilities and finds nice people to work with.

Russ has been maliciously attacked before on this forum....

it is too bad that a few bad apples have to ruin it for the rest....

Russ took an extended time-out from TOTV and we sure missed him....

Same with Gracie....sure hope this doesn't happen again...

Doesn't look to good if an employee needs others to intervene on their behalf. Can't just run away from situations like this and there was no reason to be in such a hurry to leave. Crying by an employee doesn't necessarily mean anyone else did something wrong as some cry at the drop of a hat. It would have been better for her to have requested a meeting with personnel or a higher level manager to discuss the problem and then decided if leaving was the only alternative. Even then if it truly is a hostile environment and it has been properly documented there is recourse in the courts. Document, document, document, is the only way to have a case that will ever hold water.
I was KIDDING about going to her former boss.
I just wanted her to feel my support.

The woman owns the company, there is no H.R. to go to,
And the boss has lost 6 employees in the past year.
My D-I-L made the right decision and she can more then take care of herself.

I believe he was venting. He was sharing. He was saying that HURTING someone for the satisfaction isn't NICE.

He was kinda stating that hurting someone he loved made him feel protective. I am sure she did what she felt was right. If I had my life to live over I would have threatened divorce to Sweetie and not been such a wuss and told him to QUIT and find a job elsewhere because of a cruel, unstable, more than toxic man who enjoyed pulling wings off flies and the flies were his staff.

I had one too. It was awful. I see the same vein of character here, the taunting, the cruel posts, the ANONYMOUS ability to hurt people's hearts.

It isn't nice. It isn't right and we all can name the top five.

It's funny THEY don't care.

I really enjoy 98% of TOTV, and I find some incredibly helpful information here, but it does seem there are a few who either relish in showing us how much smarter they are than the rest of us, or others who can not resist the urge to show us their rapierlike sense of humor, regardless of how hurtful this might be. For those few, I agree completely with Russ.

Russ is a good egg. He would NEVER be anything but the best nurse. He is a good person.

We all get off track at times on this forum.

I think I have lately and I apologize.

Sometimes we lose our patience .

We are all human.

A number of people have been maliciously attacked before on this forum, some for just asking simple questions about the Developer, for letting newbies know about the IRS issues, or for implying the Villages isn't perfect...IMHO the moderators need to do a better job of keeping things from spinning out of control when these attacks start.

I haven't met Russ in person, but online he is a gentle hero. I attribute to him the good judgment to stick to talking about what's happening online. His choppy sentences say he has just had it with people on here for the sole purpose of inflicting pain.
yes I make assumptions, but prefer to call it intuition. Not always right.

I too am impressed with you, Russ. Your common sense, wisdom and thoughtfulness are impressive. I think TVRH is very lucky to have you on board and contributing in their goal of providing excellent healthcare. It's great that you're not letting the mean-spirited people get to you, hit 'em straight!

I thought he felt I meant it. Figured he didn't get my sense of humor.

It's very sad that both you and your DH had that experience. It makes you wonder if they wake up in the morning determined to make everyone as miserable as they are.

I told my D-I-L you can't reason with a dysfunctional person!

She is much, much happier this week being out of there.

Thanks!
