I find all of those percentages a little odd...I wonder what their data base was taken from. However, if the TV population is 80,000, 1% would be 800. I find it highly unlikely that there are not more then 800 Jewish folks in TV. I just took a quick look in the phone book and based on names that are traditionally Jewish..ie: Goldman,Goldstein, Kaufman, Stein etc. there are way more then 800 (I extrapolated). As to the issue of Publix...I got my Passover stuff there a couple of weeks ago. They had matza, gefilte fish, matza meal. They everything I typically buy for Passover.

What are the ingredients of Matzoh? Is it made with 100% whole grain? I would assume it is if it's a tradition that goes back a couple thousand years.
Personally, I'm a big fan of Ezekiel bread that's made with a variety of sprouts. It's very healthy because it's not made with flour. ![]() ![]() |

I have seen a lot of reasons for complaining, but this takes the bagels for me. What is it that makes so many happy under all circumstances and others old grouches even in TV's. What would Jesus say about Publixs?

BTW, have you ever had the matza soup at TooJays and if so what do you think of it? I had it about a week ago and thought it was pretty good, but I have nothing in my past to compare it to or it was so long ago I don't remember!

For me Toojay's Matzah ball soup is just OK.
Now my Aunt Violet (of Hungarian descent) made a very nice soup and she would fill the matzah ball with meat. Excellent! ![]() This reminds me of the time my dad put spoon to ball (at my Aunt's house) and it went flying out of his soup plate! (there was a failure as the matzah balls were as hard well as baseballs) I was just a kid but you would have thought WWIII broke out after the subsequent comments. Brings back fond memories. ![]() |

I was able to get all my passover stuff at Publix--gefilte fish, matzo meal, matzo, horseradish, etc., but I am glad that I only have another couple of days of eating matzo. While I love eating it during the holiday (had some great matzo brei for breakfast this morning!), I find there is nothing on earth that causes constipation quite like matzo.

LOL, and I believe Moses and our people were in the desert for forty years looking for a drug store that stocked a large supply of Ex-Lax.

And they found a Publix that had neither matzoh nor ExLax. So they ranted for several decades about how horrible Publix was, and then they moved out of the desert.

Publix ran out of babka (Easter) bread...not their fault, it was mine. Saw it earlier in the week and didn't buy it. Baked it myself and it was sooooo good!
I'll still go back...I like their store. |

I'm still bummed about the EASTER grass. I took the last package. It was pink.
It was central to my celebration. Oh well, in each life, some rain must fall. ![]() I will forgive and give them another chance and try to be a good person. But that is difficult for me.
