Don’t forget when new hospital is built it will have residents, medical students, visiting doctors. They will need somewhere to live. Our granddaughter once she transfer’s from UF Gainesville, she will be renting a home in TV with 2-3 others to be close to new facilities.

Oxford Oaks residents most likely move to Middleton so they will no longer have to transport kids to school. Middleton will be walking distance or short cart ride to school

South of 44 is basically an industrial wastland. Prison, quarry, and soon to be “mixed use” housing with, in time, rug rat teenagers spraying graffiti all over.

Sorry that you all bought into overpriced homes and now need to make excuses that it is heaven on earth.

You were fooled..just admit it.

I don't even live there and I think that was totally uncalled for... Wow!

Exactly. We have dear friends in TV, who's daughter is currently a Major in the AF, working as an ER Physician.

She plans on leaving the military when the new hospital opens and wants to live in that new area...

Funny, how so many complain about medical services, lack of help in the service industry, yet flip out if "those people" dare want to live near where they work...

Maybe, maybe not. I just watched the April Goldwingnut video and nothing is mentioned either way about a 55+ section of Middleton. Start at around 13:40 in. It was his "April Update #12" I believe.

Anyway ... from The Villages website:
Introducing Middleton
An all-new community that will offer a variety of housing, shopping, dining and recreation, specifically designed to meet the needs of the families that serve and care for The Villages community. A new place to call home. The non-age-restricted neighborhood is designed to draw and retain the workforce that supports retirees in The Villages, with proximity to a new charter school campus.

Middleton CDD A will include about 2,480 acres and up to 8,280 homes, with a mix of housing types, designs and models.

Middleton is designed to provide a special place for those who work and serve residents of The Villages and our growing community. This community will feature homes that offer a variety of styles and price ranges, whether you’re just getting started with your first home or looking to expand your spaces. Our planning teams are also working with the renowned architectural firm, SchenkelShultz to expand The Villages Charter School. Together, we are building a second K-8 campus as well as an expanded state-of-the-art high school and athletic center.

Imagine a neighborhood where kids can ride their bikes to school and parents can leave their car in the garage and stroll to dinner. Our vision is to create a place where the folks who design, build and nurture the community can have a home where they can live, work, and play.

Watch the video starting basically at 4:43 in. of video "part 1." It's "Middleton being built by The Villages". I see no mention of there being a 55+ "section" of Middleton. Maybe I missed it.

If I lived in the north, I guess I might also be concerned about my property values not keeping up with the south. I might also feel a need to hurl insult in a feeble attempt to turn future buyers away and slow the growth in the south. But, I don't live in the north. I live in the south. So glad that we decided to move here from the north.

The good thing is all the unemployed drug addicts and sexual predators who's parents threw them out will still be living with granny up north also along with all of the "mixed Use" housing and traffic that your residents are already complaining about and the homes have yet to be built. The nice thing about buying down here was they were giving unheard of deals on the homes that are now returning a hefty profit for those that want to sell in some cases double the original cost. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Sorry, I was confusing Middleton and Eastport

According to this video, it is "Villages Adjacent"...

(Start at the 6 minute mark...) Log into Facebook | Facebook

And looking at the map, I don't see any way they're squeezing in 8200 homes into that space... But... I've been wrong before... Ask my wife!

Do not understand why people seem to hate those folks who decided to live in the South. At the rate this is going the South will ultimately become part of the north anyway.

Don't know. But there is a definite ugliness from some in the North. I think some feel they were promised that the Villages wouldn't expand, they were "here first," the Southerners are using "their squares" (which, are completely open to the public), there will be family homes in the south (the horror!), etc. Don't know. But, it's THEIR PROBLEM. They just aren't happy people. Maybe they can start a support group for themselves.
