And costing us thousands of $ to keep this really bad guy/gal in prison. Maybe caused another prison to be built. Oh, that's OK as the prison industry lobbing effort has paid off.
BTW you never got word because they had more important crimes to be solved......................

You thought I was being serious? I think we're on the same page. I did actually find a roach on a bench, but I burned the evidence.

Not in any of the companies I am associated with or have been involved with. They would be out the door, on the spot, and with no recourse! In fact, I'm in favor of, and always try to implement, random drug and immediate internal alcohol testing for all levels of employees. If that bothers you, go work for someone who will tolerate sub-par efforts, potentially unsafe worker conditions, sloppy or dangerous customer service and a wide range of other problems.

I would never take a golf cart ride to Walmart at that time of night.

I agree with you...most of the responses appear to be telling the OP to "lighten up" ( no pun intended)...I was just making the point that whether illegal or not, it's not something that should be condoned with any employee...

You think only people "on drugs" are like that? If you ask me, it applies to just about anyone under 30...

Sorry you believe that way. I have found the opposite to be true. Yes, there will always be a minority of bad apples in any bin. I've always tried to weed those out and further avoid them if possible.

I see both sides of this discussion - I think the problem lies not with the smoking of pot, so much as doing it while working. We come from an era that respected our elders, followed rules and had self respect for ourselves and the people around us. We might go out for a beer or two after work, but would not have considered having a beer while working. Yes, yes...it is illegal, but times have changed a great deal about almost everything that I believed in during my youth. We are kinda on a "slippery slope" in our society now. Drug use and sex are glorified on the television and at the movies. Stuff that would have been considered disgraceful 50 years ago is commonplace today. It will be very interesting to watch society over the next decade or two (God willing).

It's sometimes nice to have a "dark" topic lightened up with a little levity.
