Use Kia of clermont for service of our 2024 Telluride and very happy. No sales pressure while in the waiting lounge. They do what they say in the time they promise. And we get to have lunch at Costco across the street.

I have bought Kia vehicles since 2001', when it was Bill Bryan Kia here in Leesburg, always had excellent experiences. Now that Morgan Group bought them, I agree things have significantly changed. Between my vehicles and my husband buying vehicles for his business, we have bought 15+ vehicles BUT, won't buy from the new owners.

Yesterday, I went in for a oil change only. 2 1/2 hrs which was by appointment I may add, tech said I needed new wipers front and rear. The vehicle has 10K miles BUT, is this a ploy because I was a woman? The wipers were just replaced 3 weeks ago by their dealership under warranty, LOL! Then, he said my tires needed replacement. My husband taught me on how to use a tread depth gauge. I have 7/32's all the way around. Will never trust the Morgan Group for service ever again.

Tread depth is not the only thing to check on tires. Check the DOT number on the sidewall of each tire. The last 4 digits will tell you the week and year that the tire was made. For example, "1322" means that the tire was made in the 13th week of 2022. Sadly, a new car doesn't always have new tires on it. Also, the tire can separate, start making a lot of noise, and may need to be replaced regardless of how much tread it has. The tech should have told you why you need new tires.

Unfortunately that is the way the game is played. It is two sided. We CALL to get the best price.
Dealer gives you a FAIR price. You call another dealer and he gives you a price he cannot sell the car for. You rush down and when you get there you get we just sold that car but we have. Or you have to buy, add ones, to get that price.

Things have a way of taking on a life of their own. Mentioned wiper blades. I think I read twice a year, or once a year. No longer are they two dollar refills. My Chevy takes two different lengths. The box stores didn't have them. I ordered them mail order from the cheap guys and they cost like $30. Good old days. The refills were standard parts and cost a couple of bucks.

Tire failure due to age. Tire rotation. I mark the tires with chalk and tell them to rotate front to back not typical cross rotation. When you cross rotate you reverse the direction that the tire rotates and that damages it.

You could run your car like an airplane. So many hours and you replace ???????????
Would be expensive but failures would be very rare..

Check out Daniel's behind the Blue Crad seafood shop. They have been very professional and honest. That's hard to find in a mechanic near the villages. I have recommended them to several women at work and they were all treated fairly and were extremely satisfied with the experience.

I also suggest you try using Sumter Tire and Auto, conveniently located on 301 in Wildwood. The have performed engine repair and tire repair for me during the last couple years, with honest and accurate analysis of the problems, quick and complete repair, reasonable pricing, and no attempt to upsell additional services. I am very pleased with their workmanship on my Honda.

Reasonable pricing? I stopped going to Sumter Tire because their pricing was definitely not reasonable compared to other auto shops. For example, they wanted $900 more than 3 other shops for an AC compressor. The compressor cost me $1,500 but the Sumter Tire price was $2,400. Their price for a battery and tires were also higher than their competition.

You should never tell a sales person what you can pay. They will use it against you. The price may be less than what you are willing to pay they will place add ons to take your money just my opinion

Actually, I'm looking for a good Genesis dealership. I've been using Jenkins and I'm sure I can do better. Thanks.

I figured you did not read the post to which you replied, so I would repost it for you. Best to read the post before replying.

KIA of Claremont but it is owned by the same owner of Leesburg but you may get better service there. I have had bad experiences with all KIA dealers in the past.

Just an FYI regarding the tires. I agree with your statement but, does not apply in this case for me. Per the code on the tire, they were manufactured 6 mo's prior to my purchase early last year. We only buy new vehicles, never used. But your information is helpful to others I'm sure. Thank you
